When will this ever get fixed? Evidently something is wrong when this is happening. There is no way in any game mode this should be happening, but for ambush it's even worst. You only start off with 80 to 50 clones in ambush, and I have seen teams repeatedly win by a score of 78 which means the team as a total only died twice, and 48 which means the same. How can a team of 16 players only score 2 kills. I just started playing Dust 514 again and as usual it's the same game I stopped playing b4. |

According to the interviews we see from FF 15, they have matchmaking logic that they are/will be testing.
So they have a fix, and its just a matter of it being tested and put in game.
Patience.
This is why I take breaks, its less frustrating than trying to play a frustrating game.

I wonder how long it will take someone to say "stop complaining get good, fighting tough opponents is best way to learn" Which is certainly true is some contexts, However in the context of being shot as soon as you spawn it is the dumbest thing anyone has ever said. |

Right up there with, "It doesn't matter which terminal! Just hook up the jumper cables already!"

Get good. Is the dumbest saying everyone says. Its not about getting good its about poor Match making. Im already a good player but if im pitted against 16 protos I wont survive. No amount of getting better will change that. Its stupid to join a game just to sit in the redline all day.

Don't get good, get BPOs and just chuck Ks at the vets like they want you to. They'd actually poop chucks of broken glass before facing anyone who had actually gotten good.

It's possible, even with 'perfect' matchmaking. If the stomping team is tight, they will keep pressing after first kill. Odds are that third-half of the losing team's players are respawning at all times and constantly underhand. The respawn mechanic places the new spawners close to those alive getting killed, and the new spawners become the same. Repeat.
In the beginning, with 'perfect' matchmaking, it takes either bad luck, one team going MLT suits, or some afking or not deploying right away to initiate the failcascade.
Also, experienced stompers know how to herd redberries to maximise spawnkilling.
Looking at both sides of the coin.
Even Aurum one.

This is why I take breaks, its less frustrating than trying to play a frustrating game. Patience is an impossibility in this situation. I don't know how many shooter games professed to "have a fix for their matchmaking system in place soon" because it's no an easy fix and pretty close to impossible. For example how would you set the criteria for matches? You could do skill points but if someone is simply using a new character then even at equal SP's with other players they'd still have the benefit of more game experience.
Kills? That'd be deceiving because if they run with a corp they may have a higher assist figure than others. Game time? If you're a casual versus hardcore it's going to differ still. Maybe a multitude of factors? Well if you did KDR, time played and kills that could narrow it down but you'd still need to amass enough players for a match with similar matches and how would they even out matches if they can't find players to mirror both sides. Add in the aspect of how corps play then you're looking at extended match search times and all the above.
For anyone to code even any of the criteria above and for it to work 100% is not something realistically possible.

But that's the nature of the protostomp, you end up with vehicles right on the red line awaiting to shoot whatever spawns and drops. Seen it, lived it, was a part of it. That's a bigger issue but also lends to the games overall problem that it's not very new player friendly. Even game dynamics can make a good player crappy; a scout with enough lag in effect makes shooting them an exercise of being lucky if they die because you know they will bunny hop 10 f t in the air. Even if I'm in a gunfight with someone using similar equipment I still find myself on the loosing end of some of them either from upgraded warbages or the extra slots and armor from using an officer suit. Using militia and BPO against an officer suit is a pretty ugly gunfight and not one you'd want to get into unless you were hitting up proto stuff as well. |
