This is a question to the community of DUST. It is my first not troll attempt at a thread so maybe it'll go smoooooth.
What do you usually do in a match of DUST?
Do you go straight for the objective? Or do you go and hack the stinking turret first?
Do you spawn in and proceed to redline snipe?
Do you go shotty and go behind enemy lines to troll?
Do you JLAV all the tanks?
Do you pwn everyone with your tanky ways?
Do you fuckin' AFK?
Are you one of those annoying cloaked scouts that shoot me in the back with a shotgun?
What is it that you do? I want to know, I am your friend here.

Im that guy whos at the enemies HP before they're finished setting up, sets uplink, hacks there SD, swith to Minja with three
complex hack mods, speed hacks everything while avoiding that annoyed shotgunner that i knifed, and not im on defense.
Im that guy that shotguns you without cloak cause with CQC its scrubby with a shotgun anyway and when i tried it its SO MUCH
of a hinderance between how fast you have to get your shots off and all that jazz.
Or ill just stab you. Or miss most of my shots cause i cant keep up with strafers especially when im strafing myself. xD

Depends on the map, honestly. Majority of the time I'll try and hack the nearest objective and/or place spawn uplinks closer to the action. Then I'll try and find somewhere to nest and wait for the enemy to come to me. Other times I'll fall back and call in a tank. Very rarely (one map, and only from one side) will I grab a sniper rifle and protect an objective.

I shoot scout with Yes...
But really, uplinks at strategic places first, then run at anything red and try to make it ded.
Die a couple of times, knock over some resonably good chardonnays, question my sanity for running PLC Scout with paper mache armour----> remember how boring the alternatives were-----> Jumping in again for that super long range kill.

Go straight to city or whatever CQC area nearest the most objectives using LAV
I shotgun everyone once in a while depending on heavy spam.
I tank other tanks :D
and I own all with it - mwah ha ha ha. LAV-fu works with tanks too <3
and AFK was nerfed :(
no, I'm that more annoying heavy that basically insta kills you then reps back to full 30 seconds later, and if you threaten me too much I'll hop into a tank or tanked-out-LAV.
I ADS from time to time depending on rooftop campers - but not much anymore.

Run a Kin Katted scout down with uplinks, try to hack the point. Then kill as much as I can until back up arrives. Once I die I reevaluate the battle situation and bring whatever is needed, AV, HMG, Logi reps, Logi links, scanners, etc, etc. I'm a Swiss Army Knife. Jack of all trades, master of none. |

Depends on the match.
If I am squaded and don't have to worry about anything, then I will just run to the objective, or the nearest CRU/alternate objective/installation if there is a faster scout.
If I am solo, I will open up my team chat (which takes forever) and see if there is a squad that I can lend my WP to.
At that point, everyone and their mom has already nearly gotten to the objectives and are just getting their vehicles, so I go where I think I will be most useful.

I literally do everything. I've put a lot of hours into Dust. Lately I've been trying to improve my Bolt Pistol headshot accuracy.

Dom I get a quick link suit and try and place it in a safe spot near the objective. Then I try to be the "second" on at the point: I wait for a teammate to get close and either give him cover or try and hack quick, if it's an enemy there I'll kill him and wait for more backup before I hack.
Skirmish I usually do the same for home point but I'm more comfortable hacking. Make my way to the city or flank the enemies home point.
From there I usually try and fill whatever role is needed at the moment. Need links? Ok. Defend this point? On it. Tank rolling around? I'll give it a shot (I suck at tankingGǪ). When I'm bored/getting stomped I'll just pull out an ADS and fly around or try and kill some people, usually that make the other team switch to AV, which I just avoid and hope it eases the anti-infantry pressure on my blueberries.
Dust is there! I was real!

I'll do one of two things.
1.) Slink around the edges of the map, in public matches, and wait for the general lines to be established before marauding around the edges and playing opportunist to eliminate flankers and protect the point in the enemy's half once we take it.
2.) Pretty much on a preset path hammer enemy lines from the flanks and odd angles and generally making the enemy focus more AV on me than rifles on the Objectives.

I am generally the guy that has those 4-7 second spawn Uplinks littered around the point in Domination. Whether I am in a Jumpy Man suit, a Sneaky Man suit, or a Helper Man suit is another matter.
I also, sometimes, call in a Zoooooommmmy Flier to boom boom some mans on buildings.

Gal logi with links and scans damage mods and breach AR. I defend my links/our side of the Dom map and scan to make the blues aware. If blues can't take the letter then I push with my gal assault. If there is a shield based vehicle then galmando with plasma and breach AR. If there a 5 ******* in a room then galmando with shotty and a breach. No other tactics. Every other thing I have to do is a hassle.
While slow to anger and occasionally indecisive, they are also capable of harnessing enormous resolve when truly tested.

Depends on the daily mission rewards...
If there is something to gain like 2 keys, 1000+ WB components, or a booster, I might do pretty stupid things in a match:
Like
-spawning in an dom, and going straight behind enemy lines, just to kill enemy installations, which have absolutely no value for the match...
-spawning in any gamemode and just going for installation hacks without even caring about objectives...
-spawning in a skirm, and covering homepoint, but letting the enemy hack (killing him after finish) and waiting for a flip, to gain objective hacks... rinse repeat.
- spawning in a dom, and just running in big circles around the map just to gain enough mileage for a mission...
- leaving every match that even closely resembles a loss, because I need 10 wins for a certain mission objective...
- hopping in a tank, just to get kill assists... not so easy these days...
But if there is no mission crap, that has a good reward, I tend to just play the game.... |

Ps. Gonna usually throw myself between 3 enemy heavies with rep logis behind them.
Slaying - killing these who are the biggest threat to the team like scouts, heavies, logis, enemy slayers, rooftop campers, other campers, vehicles users etc.

1) Infiltrator suit. Damped to hell, precision'd to hell. Links and cloak. Get to the point scattering links on my way. Stab any faster scouts that get there before me. Hack the point. Retreat to a supply depot or get killed retreating to supply depot.
2) Come in as Assault or AV depending on map and enemy team.
3) If Uplinks don't seem to be a problem, come in HMG or Forge.
4) Repeat as necessary.
* I also hit up on the control pad to bring up the team list to see what tier of gear I'm going to run. Proto versus people I want to kill, proto versus people in my own corp, free gear against an impossibly stacked team, and middle of the road gear if I'm unsure.
* At any point I reserve the right to **** off and do silly ****.

OK, time to answer myself.
No matter what, I defend my point. My fat ass is unmoving and dauntless, I shred all with a Freedom HMG who try to take my point. Occasionally, I go GalLogi and see everything, sometimes slay with a burst ar.
Other times, I'm in my VAHZZ's Modified Assault Gk.0 (I just call it that) with my Dual Ions and godlike armor repair.
Mostly I'm fat with insecurities..
BRUH.
