So between my apex suite and experience bleeding isk from pubs with minimal costs I have become quite profitable while still having fun and trying new fits and such. I can generally make 1-3 million profit for an evening of dust.
Sooo, I've started giving out 1 million isk randomly to either local chat or new guys in our corp every evening I play. Feels good to be generous and really surprises people :)
So you bitter vets that are sitting on hundreds of millions or even billion plus isk, why not surprise a mec win a generous donation. It'll hop hat bitter vet syndrome a bit :)

I use to do this but found that the money was quickly burned with little to no benefit. That is why I am waiting for trading to come out so that I can give out gear to newbies to push them into new fits and an actual examination of what is going on with their suits. |

I've given out over 500mill since closed beta. It just results in people asking for more when it's gone. |

CCP stop making my life hard and add some comma's between your numbers. 1,000,000,000 is much easier to see how much you are sending rather than 1000000000.

Player trading will be great, but it will be a while before we can send too her psn accounts (ratattati said it will b released in phases).
I try to have fun with it in local. Many fun ways to find out who gets or deserves it.

Sooooo difficult, tell you what, I'll hold on to your excess so you don't get confused. But only because I care and hate to see you struggle like that
But seriously I have the same problem but with less zeros. Sent a friend 10 million instead of 1 million. He was nice and sent it back though. Now I count the zeros every time....

Also, on a very serious note, if you would like to spread your generosity around to other local chats, I would be willing to assist. Wanted to start a local triva game to educate new mercs and pad their wallet.

There are no "noobs" in dust anymore! "New" players are actually "old" players who "pretend" to be new...
Last time I quit dust, I gave over 700 mill away. While it did "feel good" to do a good deed, I became enraged when people could'nt even say thank you! The ones who did, where GREATLY rewarded. I usually gave a mill. If they at least said thanks, I gave another 10mill. One guy was so greatful (thank you, thank you, thank you), he got 30mill. Manners go a LONG way!
Im always willing to "help" someone out. Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give him a fishing pole............. |

A while ago I ended up in very lop sided Ambush and all but three of my team left. I am no slayer but I thought it would be a good time to try some unconventional tactics and see what was what. Even at a three to one disadvantage we kept the kill count competitive. (The scanner had just come out so that made it really challenging)
The squad lead on the other side sent a gg note and 500K isk. A little respect goes a long ways in my book and that is what this merc got from me that day.
I have had the same thing happen but I was on the other side. Anybody that actually keeps engaging and trying different approaches is in my opinion "getting" what this game is about. More than one I have sent what I figured was 3X the isk they lost in the match.
(The exception to this is of course is snipers. Anybody who heads to the redline to snipe instead of digging out the starter suits is in my mind a coward.)
Bright,
I'd be curious to learn what you think of each of your apex suits, perhaps in another thread.

Bright, I'd be curious to learn what you think of each of your apex suits, perhaps in another thread. Only have one, nomad apex (minmatar assault) I run minmatar FW and spec minmatar suites and of the minmatar apex suites this was the one I figured I would take the most advantage of.
With that said, I love it. It's not OP but still competitive and with the REs for equiptment I can still take on pup stomping squad blobs.... Would recommend if you like minmatar.
PS. I like this thought and may apply it to some of the high death, low performers....

I have a confession to make. I only clicked on this thread to begin with because I misread the title.
I thought the title said " I'll make you feel good." For this I apologize.
I thought it was gonna be one of those dirty stories they tell in the war room. |
