I find out I have no school today, and i have time to waste so.... Until my phone complains about running out of battery.. Imma just share my skillbook history.
Well! It was about a year and a half ago i came back to dust. I had 10 mil passive sp on my "main" and well... I wasted my skill points on that... Like i came into dust for the first time, and just blew off my SP without actually getting into a game first or anything.
Realizing how much I screwed up, i made this guy.. My actual main now.
This time treading water carefully, i made sure to plan ahead... I also thought that fitting by race was the way to go, so i got my calAss (only cal suit at the time) and my rail rifle at the time... Then i joined my first corp, Smartcrew... It was like an Immortal Guides kinda thing... Joined, and learn a bit more about the game, etc.
I felt like getting into vehicles would be pretty cool... And knowing that I love Wip'Eout, i had to go into dropships. I remember how it was... Smartcrew put the tax to 15% because we were going to get into PC... I asked for a little isk and Spy said "i know the tax is high, the sister corp has the lower tax but you'll still be with us, why not join it?" something like that. I said "no, it's because I just skilled into a python, the skillbook was expensive." And that right there, was where my Dust career began. They were surprised, told me that a good dropship pilot can keep an entire game in check and everything...
Awestruck, i started flying... Hoping one day people will see my name, and remember who I am. But I'll be a noble character, not a cocky bastard who puts down everyone else. It was expensive... I was working with a prof 2 rail rifle on a medic suit to make the ISK, then I whipped out a viper to learn how to fly... Crashing and dying like crazy... I lost about 2 mil from playing with Vipers in the beginning.
So, one day I was with Spy in squad, and he asked me to take out a dropship and show him my stuff. I died. Real quick. So quick I don't even remember it that well... But i do remember him saying I'll have some better fits soon.
I finally got a basic calAss! It was great! But i still kept using my 2k medic suit as my go to suit.
Smartcrew was pretty cool and all, but I felt like it was time for me to leave the nest a few weeks later. I learnt lots and was about 5/6 mil into the game... I had my python started up, working my way to small missiles. My rail rifle to prof 2, Assault rifle to level 1, and most core skills started up (AKA Only dropsuit armor and shield, and cpu/pg fitting). Paid my respects and was on my way.
So, i joined my second corp, Dust 514 Elite. It was just a small group of guys but damn! Was it fun! I remember those guys well... Dylan, Pdub, sexyasses... That was the main 3 guys I played with..
Later on... We ended up merging with TCD toxicated and it was just insane. Like everyone was so chill and it was a great time... Smoke, Relentless, Gthing, Dylan, Pdub, sexy, Killed again.... Lots of other people, i don't remember their names.. This is where most of my growth came... Still in my 2k suit, i pushed my python to 3, realize I was terribad with missiles and gave up on dropshipping for a bit. Got my suits to max armor and shield, and started pouring more SP in vehicle upgrades.
Little bit later on, i bought the incubus skill book. I was like "if I give up on dropships, i should try them both out" it was rough at first but I got the hang of it... That's when I was like "this is me... The sky is where I belong." incubus at 4. I also got my PLC and LR around this time too.
Then... My corp had a fall out in the alliance chat. I don't remember what for but... We got kicked out of RofL so quick...
That was the end of TCD.. I was saving up SP for inky 5, so I was still held back on skills after that. But my laser was pretty high up and my PLC was near proto also. (PLC is the first thing I prof'd out)
Few weeks in, i join 1.U.P. my incubus at 5 and rail at 3. Got comfortable but one huge flaw... I didn't speak Spanish. MY DAYS was I confused... I felt so lost but they were really welcoming... It's also where I got a taste of PC.....
Phone at 15% guess it'll have to wait till later today :D
