With a calsault, strafe around a bit and see where the hit indicator points to. Hold still for like half a second, but be careful not to get headshotted, though if you put enough shields on it is possible to survive. Pretty much get hit.

Once you find him, find a different place to snipe him from. Get lost behind cover and escape him. Bad snipers will just go "oh well, he's gone" and just leave you be. That's when their heads go pop.

A far better piece of advice I could give would be to plan out your route from where you are to where you want to go wit cover in mind. Move from cover to cover ALWAYS.

 1) Let the sniper hit you, moving just a little to prevent headshots, and find the general direction on the sniper.

 2) Duck behind cover and do your best to aim in the direction and dodge fire.

 3) If unable to spot the sniper, allow the sniper to kill you. This provides you with a distance. If you know the distance and the direction, you can pinpoint an exact location. At that point it is just a matter of sneaking up on him.

 4) If all else fails, git gud, git a cal heavy, git a forge gun, and show him how sniping is REALLY DONE

Do not recommend this. If you play as a sniper, I will find you. And I will kill you.

Then start looking at your favorite sniping spots first on the other side of the map. Manus peak for example I find there are about three predictable spots for snipers, and most of the time, the vast majority of the time, I find them by looking in that direction with my own sniper rifle and after a quick "wave" the chevron shows up.

Yet another reason why I've swapped to being a mobile CalScout Tactical Sniper who maintains a roaming 100-150 meter engagement near the fighting.

Use your scope and scan the horizon manually for any sign of a red dot. Try high buildings, mountains, any kind of height you think could house a sniper.

Pay attention to the direction of the shot, not a lot of snipers are smart enough to move after or they just stick to the redline.

If you're up against a pro. Good luck.

then you need to be checking places in the general area where you would set up a snipe form. Most snipers will not surprise you on this.

Funniest thing I've ever seen was someone trying to be "sneaky" get tagged by the "Attack Target" command for half the match from our squad leader

Damn but that thing is bright and obvious!

Yeah its great. If we've got an annoying sniper on enemy team i'll just drop into the hills with my sniper and just hunt them down using the attack order reticule. just highlights them so easily, especially with the p**s poor rendering of the game lol

Take the time to double back to the edge of the map, and then circle the map, getting as high as possible and listening carefully for the SQUISH sound that makes sniper rifles so distinctive. I quite enjoy hiking around and putting Plc rounds into the back of an oblivious snipers head. The payout is good too; most snipers feel safe enough to use high tiered gear. Happy hunting.

good way is be in a heavy suit let them ping u a bit to find general location most snipers will stay in the same spot rarely relocating (unless its an officer sniper rifle) just dont stand completly still or else one shot kill likely. also try afking a few matches memorize where ur teams sniper locations are there is not many spots for redline sniping
