Ok i understand the reasoning behind it is to stop mcc campers, and get ppl more involved in the battle, but some rounds are so unplayable, especially alot of one sided ambush rounds, that better then half the team ends up getting 0 sp from it, even thou they throw tthemselves into battle non stop. Yes i hear ppl saying go hacking or use a scout to get in behind the enemy, but bush should not have this minimum wp to get sp. Just bs when you can play a few rounds and get sweet flock all from them battle |

Someone told me that the first day I joined EVE, he was someone I had known and he kept going on and on about how nothing was free and you had to work at it and plan and yada yada.
Later that day, a total stranger gave me 40 Million ISK. I was very happy about it :)

I agree but how do you stop people from exploiting?
My initial thought is... Perhaps sp and isk gains should be less linear. Close to the bottom and you earn nearly nothing. As you move up the leaderboards you earn increasingly larger amounts of sp and isk. Enough perhaps that if you score first you are actually rewarded for your efforts and financial risks. Boom! Two birds, one stone.
I hate the whole sp gain from time spent in the match. It's an old way of giving out sp that caters to care Bears and exploiters. The 150 WP limit thing is a bandaid. It doesn't fix the real problem at the root.
What are your thoughts? |

Making it a tiered system could help a bit, then your getting more rewards for the higher you place on the leader board, 0-100wp you only get so much... 1000-1500wp you get ship loads more.... been reading to that they plan on bringing in a negitive tiering system as well to stop ppl from boosting. But what about the logis that actually are able to get 3000+wp in a round, they should be reward with lots more isk and sp, theyve earned it after all. But i see that the computer, aka scotty, cant tell the difference between properly made wp and boostered wp. Just think that having a minimum wp lvl to get sp works against noobs and less skilled players. Its easy to get lots of wp in a round when you run proto and full squads, but when matches are so badly stacked thanks to scottys poor efforts, why do the players that get so badly dominated get no rewards for effort. The minimum wp cap should be removed if you die more then x amount of times. Then the players still trying are still getting some rewards for effort. And before anyone says it yes i realize new eden is a harsh place, and only the strong should be rewarded, success matters more then attempt, but how are newbs and scrubs ment to stand a chance in new edens tardarus, of getting better and more skilled if they cant get skills to start. What do you think? |

Dom/Skirm the 150WP min is fine, as for ambush its pretty stupid, a 50 man match can be over far too quickly. last night i was on the winnign team and they killed everyone so quickly i couldn't even get any points (logi) because they barely died and had their own logis.
80 man OMS isn't too bad but it would be easier to just remove the WP minimum altogether for the Amb game mode.
i see why they did it but i still see people AFK'in so it hasn't really done anything to help

This happens to me a lot since ccp said we wouldnt be spawned into " used" battles, when In reality, I get spawned so many times into a battle that's about to finish and I can't get any sp/isk

It is stupid because AFKing is not a real issue. Lopsided matches that make AFKing more fun and more profitable is. We still have guys effectively AFKing and we gave guys trying hard getting no SP.
Because, that's why.

It's still possible to AFK without getting penalized. Just spawn a cheap suit with links, deploy those in useful, but not easy to find spots, and AFK for the rest of the game. Just a little bit more work, but not a lot. |

How to hit the minimum:
- Two pickups with a pro needle: 180 WP
- 3 pickups with an ADV needle: 180 WP
- 5 pickups with a militia needle: 150 WP
- 6 spawns: 150 WP
- 6 kill assists: 150 WP
- 3 kills: 150 WP
- 2 kills 2 kill assists: 150 WP
- 1 kill 4 kill assists: 150 WP
- 10 destroyed equipment: 150 WP
- 15 team resupply: 150 WP
- Roughly 5-6 seconds of triage: 150 WP
WP threshold only applies to people with over 10 million SP. I have no sympathy for anybody with 10 mill and up who are so incompetent that not being able to pull these minimum goals consistently to the point where they have to QQ here.
No matter how bad the stomp, if you're so crap with 10 mil + SP you can't throw out a militia uplink or use a militia rep tool, then no you shouldn't get any reward for it.

The problem is very serious, as soon as you spawn into a battle that is already 50-75% over. I leave every battle, that has my own MCC at a 50% lower health than the enemy, or where there is predictably only 5 minutes left in the battle (Dom Skirm). It's just not worth to waste your time with those since the changes.
Also, there are people who may guard homepoint for an entire match and only get 100 wp, due to only two reds getting killed trying to hack it. These people do the right thing, but get penalized for not doing the Zerg for every red on the map BS... |

It should just be changed to 50 WP.
Players that want to AFK are just grabbing up the first hacks and disappearing anyway.
50 man ambush against a proto stomp results in only 2-3 players even getting SP.
Lowering the requirement still gets rid of the turbo controller AFKers which was one of the main points. |

You can prevent a hack, and when the hacker doesn't get killed, but only scared away, you won't get points, but have been useful for your team.

I've yet to play a match where I haven't earned at least 150 wp since this update. I also dont play ambush because its an uninteresting game mode. |

150min wp is a good number, this is not Battlefield or cod... Where you enter a battle, got killed 25 times and you are promoted as sargent.
Even with a proto stomers like kaizuka in your team, you can make some assist or kills or put some nanos and feed their hungry of granades.

I've suggested a change to this mechanic that would make it so if half your team (or whatever) dont get enough points to get skill point gains it just says **** it and gives everyone SP rewards. Unfortunately most people at the time were so butthurt about the 150 WP minimum existing at all that they dont want to talk about making reasonable improvements. |

I agree that it is difficult sometimes to get 150 WP in an Ambush on a Sentinel, since they don't have equipment and there is nothing to hack. It is particular bad when one team kills off the other side quickly and the game may be over before you have had very many encounters due to the short range of the HMG and the slow speed of the Sentinel suit.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

I heard Ishkone Guaged Uplinks were the way to troll with need for blueberries to get camped in and lots of options for them not to, makes being that guy, that better equipped guy.

I've been in matches where I tried the entire match and didn't earn 150 WP, and I sometimes manage 5500 WP so it isn't like I don't know how to earn WP. This, once again, just punishes new players and those that get stomped without doing anything to address any of the real problems.

a) play on american server
b) don't play ambush if you know'll be stomped.
