Serious question -
Would it be possible for CCP to edit out some of the stupid things people do on every level?
Like the train/bunker level - just remove the gangways around the pobjective, or at the very least provide so stairs up so you can get to the ar$eh0les that frequest up there every...single... effing time it comes up - or block up the holes in the ceiling so that only the bounciest of scouts with their 'Blue bottles' can get up there (without using the new and improved stairs)
I would be in favour of having a universal rule on the placement of uplinks - anything above or below a certain height in the level, say for example the objective or the lowest point on the level is 0 and there is a limit of ~100ft of the 0 value, anything placed above that height (on ******** cranes/Null cannons/insert other obligatory and consistently contended 'high' spot in this gosh darned game) is instantly destroyed.
That would stop these scumbag tryhard proto fools from getting to the highest point, laying eggs everywhere and then ruling the map from their sky-*** throne..
I mean seriously it can't be that hard, maybe even the fabled CPM can even get involved, all you'd have to do is play the same map a few times and you'd see clear as day what the common strategies are..
Id we could weed some of the common Bo110cks out of this game we could all benefit - put a pad on the ground, if no-one destroys it, fine, if someone does - hide it better, it doesn't have to be so far into the air that you get a nosebleed upon spawning in...

Well, there are several places where links are just horrible for your own team, so I would agree that links should not be placed there, since it weakens your own team, that gets picked one by one when dropping.
Map design should always give a chance to reach those points with something else than a derpship.
Though I would like to see a larger (small) flux strike. make it cost 500WP, but also have a much larger radius, so that it's not so much hit and miss like with the small fluxes. This should reduce the problem. Though, as soon as the linker is still active on top, he will just drop some more... (thanks to the last link changes...). |
