I don't know about the Cal Ass, I've always used a Gal Scout to snipe back in the day. NT-11 is pretty decent, and if you are lucky enough...nothing beats a Roden. But, the best besides a Roden is a Thale's ofc.
Time for some Basic 101: A sniper's cover is detrimental. I liked to find mountains/hills to set as my perch. Never go the obvious, like the Z platform in the middle of that one map.
Never stay in the same spot. Get a headshot or two and then move to some different cover. You stay in one spot and you risk getting compromised. A stagnant sniper is a dead one.
Obviously the Cal suits are the best for snipers. I would go with some complex camps since the assault doesn't have that natural like it's scout. RE's and Knives are a good buddy sidearm for the sniper. You can opt for the Breach SMG but I always preferred the knives since I'm horrible at that thing. Damps and Cover, damps and cover bro.
I'd rather look bad winning, than look good losing.

If you're able to land head shots on a regular basis, then go for the cheapest version of whatever variant you're the most comfortable with.

The shield extenders is a bit eh but the DMG mods are definitely needed. Dk why I didn't mention that. I will still suggest at least one damp, since hiding is crucial, and GalLogis and other snipers are a snipers worst enemy.

Disagree. If you're not gonna use the Thales then use the proto TSR or normal if you aren't too good. Use a breach scrambler pistol because normally only scouts try to hunt you so it would be good to shot every one of your threats. Carry as many nanohives as you can, and use packed AV grenades to defend LAVs or derpships that try to come at you. EDIT: also, don't steal from other sniper nanohives. It's rude.

To Golden:
With the CalAss, play it like you would with a RR, but having longer range. Play not to get seen or get hit. If someone sees you, take them out and terminate. Move location with the extra ten seconds the termination got you, and keep away from any nearby CRUs. I'll get a video out on combat sniping SoonGäó.

Tips for sniping.
1. Wait until the enemy stops, because this game has horrible motion prediction built into the netcode. Seriously. It's maybe the worst I've seen since the late 90's.
2. Aim for the head. If you're doing anything else, you're not getting kills.
Usually banned for being too awesome.

Look up Nod Keras and Symbiotic Forks on YouTube.
Aim for the head.
Always check your back cause a shotgunner might be there, dont stay in the same time position for too long.
Sett up your hive no where near you.
That's all i got.

Also should I learn to snipe in every match on some objectives?
Such as protecting outside objectives? Sense the city usually dosent have a good sniping spot

Snipe close from enemy red zone, they rarely expect that - of course getting shot in the back is easier since you won't be looking in the way they're coming.
