I've just created a new character and need to grind some fw to get the Apex amarr sent but it's impossible to get into a match. As a new player it would be really helpful to own an apex suit, please take a look and see if you might be able to hotfix in some way. |

They are basically dead except for the evening hours (US).
They might solve it by showing a visible count of everyone who wants to queue an FW match.

I'm kind of embarrassed having a couple of APEX suits, I should have just waited out the LP grind for the proper faction variety.

Even if you grind enough for that suit it may not be that good without your core skills leveled. (Go to protofits.com enter the skills you currently have, find the Amar apex in the proto dropsuit menu and select prefit)
Apex suits are a great way to save and build up isk and farm wp (if logi)
I would suggest if you are playing in FW to also do some minmatar as well as Amar
In the loyalty point store you will see that the base Amar sentinel and the base hmg are unlocked and ready to use.
This is a good and cheap way to get an idea of these suits
You can also try using the militia heavy versions, they are slow but cheap and have high hp
(I personally would recommend the militia minmatar heavy and the militia Amar light frame)
May the Dark shine your way

Imo there should always be one FW match open per conflict whether both teams are filled out or not.
You don't stop a war because the enemy couldn't bother to show up.
And if people know that they can always get in, its a nice form of instant action.
Usually banned for being too awesome.

Yes, force players to be mercs and cut the role play et al every so often when numbers are low.
Death is a serious businessGǪ So is running a shoddy, half-baked game company.

And if people know that they can always get in, its a nice form of instant action. Kind of the situation on the old Oceana server. Wasn't always a full team to play with or against but you could always get right into a match. I even played one or two games entirely by myself! Just drove around in my LAV blowing up turrets and hacking objectives. Oceana was also a great place to learn how to drive LAVs and tanks or pilot dropships. Usually didn't have to worry about somebody chasing you around with some form of AV. Problem was, most players went there to just farm SP or ISK.
You merc's are all alike...
it's seven or eight quick ones, then off with the boys to boast and brag!

The best deal for the APEX suits was the War Profiteer Pack. For fifty bucks you got three suits AND a Methana LAV BPO. Not a bad deal all around considering the suits by themselves go for what, $27.50 a pop? BTW, I also ground factionals out a full month for the complete set of Minmatar Factional suits (Excluding the "Nomad" which came in the afore mentioned pack).

I bought the Caldari and Amarr APEX Assault suits as soon as they were released. I've gotten a ton of use out of them. I already had a Nomad, Warlord, Renegade, and a Tiger via LP when they released the War Profiteer Pack, so I couldn't justify buying more.
