New players in DUST are placed in one of 48 stations (12 stations per race) and have access to Local Chat for the system that station is located in. But some people may not like the vibe in their home system, or find there are not a lot of people speaking their language, or they might want to have a closer association to Corp or Alliance members.
I propose that DUST players be able to book passage to other NPC stations. They would pay the transport costs with AUR. The move would happen during down time. There could even be a delay of 1 to 5 days if that would smooth out spikes and make it easier for the Devs to handle.
It would also be interesting if DUST players could transfer to Alliance owned stations in Null Sec, but that might be a bit too big of a jump.
I think this would increase EVE/DUST interaction. It would also allow language groups to congregate. Corp members of cross platform Corps could move to stations where their Corp have corporate offices.
I think this option could help the social cohesion of the New Eden universe. I also think it is something that many would pay AUR for.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

There's a lot of AUR Station services asked for like:
GåÆ Station change for AUR (to grab interesting local chat channels and da MQ looks)
GåÆ Corporation change for AUR (Corp & station independent from one another, wow!)
GåÆ Race change for AUR (something for the RPers)
GåÆ Name change for AUR (general BlackMarket operation)
GåÆ sex change for AUR (this is...kinda kinky)
I wholeheartedly support all of them.

You used to be able to do it for free though if you file a help ticket.
You may not like what I said, but it's true.
It might anger or offend you, but it's still true.

I've had an alt moved simply through tickets. I would like moving to a different area to be a function of warbarges instead of a paid aur service.
Something broke their ability to do it in one of the updates though

Jep, had me transferred to different station via help ticket as well, but that was a long time ago. And no matter how many tickets I file, CCP won't make me Amarr though. |

The RP'er in me can't support Race Change. I would support a change of Citizenship though. A subtle difference I know. As long as you keep your helmet on no one would know the difference.

Please suck up your subtle differences my friend. The RPer in you should have known EVE/DUST is 10-15k years into the future, ~2000 years technology-wise: Brain Implant Recalibration (SP reset) is a no brainer. Change of race is a no brainer. If you wanted all your body parts exchanged for synthetic organs, even your bones, even your friggin teeth (check the EVE chronicles for that, if you may), there is a way in New Eden. But you are correct in one thing: I should not have called it 'for the RPers', 'for the re-/late-born RPers' would have been more fitting.
Some people found their love for the stories of New Eden and certain races later into the game, having already rought up their clones the 'wrong' way, and are too far down the road to biomass and start over. You don't simply biomass with 80 mil SP on your back.
Looking for ways to justify race changes RP-style is dumb anyway, RP really starts when you finally remedied the 'errorsGÇÖ committed in your non-RP phase, so you don't have to wrap your story around your AUR spendings.
P.S.: This brings me to the off-topic question of: How to explain the redline RP-wise?
Please excuse my english, as Iam no native. |
