Just out of curiosity - what do you guys want to hear about in concerns to the Eve Lore that doesn't concern -making- Eve Lore or answering un-answered questions?
Essentially: What aspect of the vast Eve Online / Dust 514 Lore that is already well defined do you want to see more of?
Personally, I want to see more stuff regarding the "Special Forces" of each empire. The Gallente Federation has The Black Eagles, the Amarrians have the Kameiras, and the Minmatar Republic has the Valklears.
Have a suggestion for the Planetary Services Department?

I would too but this is one of those things that needs to be told by the Eve team =\
I'm mostly looking for topics that are already well fleshed out, have a good enough amount of lore that stories can be derived from them.

100% behind this. Can't say how long I spent on Google looking for the tiniest mention of lore on New Eden empire special forces. More stuff like "Theodicy" (Valklears)
Blood and Ash (Kameiras)
Eve: Templar One (Federal Marines/Black Eagles)
Interested to know what the Caldari special forces are? Besides the various megacorp police forces, but rather straight up Caldari military.
I wanna see more detailed unit histories, past missions, composition, tech used etc.
And more stuff on the standard military, not special forces or auxiliaries. Never seen them explicitly mentioned ever besides Paladins and Federal Marines. |

Well...in the Caldari state every single citizen is required to go through military training and serve 3 years. Technically the state doesn't have a military...as every member of the population is in some way military.

I meant like what were the Caldari special forces called and stuff. Its past missions, its composition, etc.

Personally want less of the "Spec Ops" plotlines since they seem over done and never really come out as a well told story.
I like what you wrote on the EVE forums. Insights into the culture with a dark New Eden twist.

I want to see something that goes into the darker side of being an immortal soldier. The loss of morality, the side effects of constantly dying and the fact that all immortal soldiers have ended countless amounts of lives (immortal lives, but still lives nonetheless).
Maybe have it shown through the eyes of one that can't stand it and is losing his mind and another through the eyes of someone who enjoys it.

Actually plan to cover this in my ongoing fiction series, if I ever get around to finishing the parts.

Well I initially liked your one about the two Republic Soldiers/Valklears (though I admit it's been a long time since I read it and the name escapes me) and more recently the first part of Revenant.
I believe I liked the former because it didn't strike me as "Elite Spec-Ops" just about normal soldiers, their lives, and their struggle. To clarify why I dislike the plot lne would be as simple as discussing character development. I find that most writes, not necessarily you, often write very clich+¬d character as the protagonists of such plot line, or character who are so elite it boggles the mind, or perhaps even plot lines that are self aggrandising beyond my ability to suspend disbelief.

Ah, well thank you for that. It mostly comes from experience with Text-based RPGs and what not where you were pretty much forced to role-play a character that was believable and realistic (within reason). I usually prefer strong female leads because I still find that they're an unorthodox role in a narrative without them turning into some kind of shooting sex toy (which is what Harlequin will probably end up as in Suicide Squad but whatever).

Which ironically the more they are written into a non-typical role the more typical they actually become. I find myself trying to do the same thing though admittedly I feel my female characters are more poorly written than my male ones at this point.
Currently attempting to write a bi-sexual female warrior in the Meta game right now.... a Brienne of Tarth who loves to go whoring on her spare time.
Also speaking of.....was both horrified and pleasantly surprised that Jarred Leto is supposed to be playing The Joker in Suicide Squad. As a shameless 30 Seconds to Mars fan I must attend.

Honest to god I like using female characters more often because it's less 'taboo' for them to show actual human emotions. Keanu Reeves is a great lead for Neo in The Matrix but as a male lead you can kinda see that he's doing the typical macho-man thing of hardened, steel reserve and it takes a -LOT- (Trinity nearly dying several freaggin times over) for him to actually start showing those real-feels.
With female characters you can show a bit more of that without it making the reader feel awkward but at the same time it opens up a bit more for that emotional impact. Male readers, for whatever reason, typically will sympathize with a female character breaking down when they've reached their limit. On the other hand, a male character breaking down has to be done at a precise moment or they lose the illusion of being a hero and it can be difficult to find out where that moment should occur in a narrative.
EDIT: Fantastic example is the opening gameplay segment in The Last Of Us. Not going to lie, I had to pause the game and take a moment to collect myself. That **** hurt.
EDIT EDIT: Here's a video sequence from that scene if you haven't played the game. Not spoiling much (this occurs within the first fifteen minutes of the game) https://youtu.be/DidjobKweCs

Yeah I find that too. Which is why I like to beat my male characters down in other ways. I swear if I ever met True Adamance he'd put a fist through my face for all the **** I subject him too.
Falling down an elevator shaft. Set alight by a burning tank. Went into shock after a knife shattered against one of his ribs.

Ok, there are a couple things I want to hear.
Firstly, Pre/Post Jumpgate Collapse. The ancestors are spoken of somewhat, basically it just says they were humans and went through and EVE gate and started colonizing, became the four nations, then died off leaving in exile. It basically back burners the story. I want to hear more.
I kinda want to hear more from the Jove aswell. Even though they are suppose to remain in mystery, and we atleast know a little bit about them, like the disease and isolation, and stereotypical looks and run in with Amarr, it just makes me want to know that much more.
I don't much care for the Special Forces, even though I rep the Black Eagle Scout in battle. I mostly care about the Pirates, but they don't need much lore, some lore would be nice though.
OH AND THE 514 DISEASE. I want to see more lore for that. The title lore. ANY lore at all really I would absolutely love.

I want to read something about Mercenary - Capsuleer interaction. Something that captures the action and feeling of the games. Most of what I read didn't really capture the feeling of the games I have to say.
Some scenarios I can identify / recognize as a player of both games.
The answer to your complaint is PvE. Always.

I'd personally just like a story about factional warfare. It doesn't have to be epic, just a story about the mercenaries on ground. Don't think you need to create too much lore on that, since the majority of it comes from the actual faction lore. Something like that would be interesting for both the EVE community and Dust community, seeing how the mercenaries walk the line on the ground.
