Bacause there is a fine line betwheen buffing it to make it a little more practical, and buffing it to god mode.
The only buff it should get, is a warning signal as soon as a swarmer tries to lock on. This would give the derpshipper the time to either engage the hardeners or get the frack out of the swarmers area.
Everything else needs a very careful aproach, since derpships who are overpowered would spoil the fun for everybody else.

Umm what about the pointless racial ADS skill and same could be said about the HP. One swarmer with god EZ mode swarms counter ADS so flipping effectively. If that is going to remain the case, I would like the current small missiles to have auto aim.
"Skill for thee but no skill for me" so is the saying of the swarm infantry.

This sounds more like an issue with swarms then, and not so much the ADS?

Only changes I like:
Increase RoF bonus to 5%/level. (But remove skill stacking)
Split missile turrets into AV and AI, buff rail damage and freaking fix the blaster CORRECTLY (fix inverse dispersion so it actually works, bring initial dispersion to previous levels).
Early warning/indication for enemy AV (basically pilot only see a unique chevron for all AV targeting (swarms) or charging (PLC and forge) within 80-100m and lasts 3-5s afterward)

This plus making Swarms not perfectly accurate and unavoidable. I would definitely love the above changes though.
