ACR is both easier to fit, and more effective.
I would use SMG and Knives, but I won't. Not when the combat rifle saves me 2 PG and gives me 3x the range.
I swear, switch the fitting requirements for the ACR and SMG.

ACR is easier to fit, has more range, and can kill things quicker.
Dual SMG scouts were dead when 1.7 released.
That said, I still use my SMG/NK Minja. |

Assault SMG sucks in CQC compared to the regular and breach SMG's. Still good at distance, but you rarely need it at distance.

I'm still running a Cal Scout with dual BrScP with some frequency. However, with fewer scouts and more armor-laden assaults on the battlefield, its efficacy has gone down. |

why one wouldn't fit knives on a min scout is beyond me, unless it has a shotgun or PLC. Although i do find the ASMG has a tighter hipfire spread than the ACR, so i used both and liked the ASMG...feels more scout like
