The annoying one with the hangar in the middle?
Why does the redline give enemies the advantage of higher ground so they can kill any vehicle you try to spawn? Is that intentional? I understand redline tanks are a problem, but flipping it doesn't do any good.
I was in a skirmish and went to try out my Madrugar fit for the first time. I spawned in the MCC and walked deep into the redline (as deep as I could go, anyways). I called it in and checked my modules, then went to venture out of the redline. Right as I was climbing the hill to the field, an enemy railgun Maddy crawled over the top and got two shots on me before I could activate my hardener (Partially my fault, I accidentally activated my damage mod before the hardener because it's in the spot where my hardener is on my Gunnies).
With half armor, I activated my Fuel Injector, and went in full reverse to... nothing. There was no cover to retreat to and he ended up killing me. My armor tanking career is off to a great start!
(Don't worry, I got revenge with my AFG along with one of his buddies.)
(Side note on armor tanks, they're beast when hardened, but exposed when not. They were able to rep through my forge shots with the hardeners, but I could 4 shot them without. I could only kill them when their hardeners ran out. Running in a group and switching out seems to be the best tactic.)
IMO this map is poorly designed. Can we at least get ladders up to the rafters in the hangar? I know I should just leave whenever I get this map, rather than post it on the forums like a blabbering fool, but I was just wondering if anyone felt the same way.
(Another side note, could you rate my Madrugar fit if you would be so kind?)

the map design should never be so poor that you want to leave if you get it.
It has become too acceptable to just leave a match you dont like(i have been guilty of such). If CCP could fix scotty to not randomly prevent people from your squad from joining then they could implement punishments for those that leave too many matches

T'was my first skirmish, didn't realize the redline had no cover. That was my error.

The "train station" or "train yard" map has been somewhat maligned on this forum, myself included.
The frequency in which it appears it frustrating to me. I also personally don't care for it.
There's three sections if you split it top to bottom:
The valley, the ridge, and no man's land. 80% of the shooting takes place on the ridge.
You could eliminate no man's land and no one would notice.
The irritation is exacerbated by the fact that it is in the rotation for Skim, Dom, and Ambush.
In Ambush, both teams spawn right on top of each other.
I don't at all mind admitting when I get this map (often) I immediately quit the match.
After over a year with this game I have decided that if I'm not having fun, I change the situation.

I think the major problem with the "train yard" is that the objective (in Dom) is located in the centre tunnel, which never changes.
The "socket" concept is excellent as it makes variations of the same map, which require different strategies depending on the combinations of map and socket. However, when the objective is outside of the sockets the entire system becomes pointless. No degree of different "mood" will ever change the "train yard", since it is indoor too boot. |

Fix the game before trying to add anything else.

My 2 almost favourite maps
My favourite is the cargo hub and the bridge map(I don't know what it is called)
Cargo hub with links on the catwalk in-between the supply depot and the large building in front of alpha with a few rail rifles=win
The Bridge map is just the best map for assaults to hold s point by himself...i carried wyrkomi triage hives with my assault ak.0 stacking 2 complex plates and ferroscales is the best setup I have ever used... Apart from me and a logo

I actually like this map, because
a) lot of medium buildings/silos/ etc you can jump on b) there's always cqc in domination (I bet thats why most people hate it -> your proto just got meleed by std scout? owww...)
But I have to agree that map rotation seems to be broken, sometimes I play a whole day (3-10 matches) on one map |

After over a year with this game I have decided that if I'm not having fun, I change the situation. Ahhh but saying that so many good maps have already gone and you don't see any threads about them =ƒÿí. I miss the one with the objective in a pit and one side has a height advantage on the hill. But they would always get redlined, or the one with that was very similar with the massive square roof next to it. My point so many maps gave already gone

I have watched and helped in the turning over of the OBJ many times. People seem to think that the only way in is down the roof

Train station map is kinda **** and shows up way too much, which is a shame because I feel it'll deter CCP from doing more indoor maps when in reality it's just that that map is bad. Try again.
MCC map is cool but I've only seen it one time . . .
Also noticed for the first time last night that the Gallente Research set of sockets finally showed up on Manus Peak. For whatever reason it felt like that map only cycled through the really old sockets, but now I have seen one case against this. Anyone see Manus Peak with Caldari Production sockets yet?

But I rarely get Manus Peak, it's mostly the "train map" or the one with the two giant valleys where they moved the redline way close to the middle (in dom, at least). I wish I could see the other maps more. I got Ashlands for the first time in weeks, and last time I got Line Harvest was a week ago (Then again, I don't play that often). They should really fix map rotation.
