Surely it's not just me suffering from lag 514?
Just for the record the reason CCP do these 'x' million clone events is to stress test the servers to make sure they're not wasting resources.
I'm warping around corners yet speed test on my laptop, phone and ps3 are showing a similiar ping of 20m/s 25mb downlaod and 2mb upload.
I'm dying before I'm dead, I'm killing people a few seconds after finishing shooting at them |

Since echo, my lag has been nul. Once in an odd while a little bit, not worth mention though.

I don't think you understand how bad though, I can't change weapon half the time, I'm rubber banding everywhere, My gun says I have 50 in clip then a few seconds later randomly starts decreasing despite me not shooting. It's asif my ping was 200 odd but it's not....

It happens to the best of us. I normally get it really bad on the meat grinder and when I say bad I mean I die a minute and a half after I was shot, struggle to choose the next uplink, eventual get to a uplink and press x and nothing happens for 4 minutes and when I finally spawn in I'm still unable to move properly. I even tryed leaving the battle beavuse it was so bad and struggled to even do that

Tell me. have you got your PS3 on a static IP? Have you got the game port forwarded? Also.. Have you tried rebuilding your database?

not as bad as dust tho lol i cant even deploy half the time shows some circle loading screen over my suit wont let me deploy yet some how there is a good enough connection for game to tell me you will be kicked please deploy well i would if the game wasnt f'd up so bad

I play via mobile network... approx 3mb/s down / 0,5-1 mb/s up. lag accures only when kids watch netflix at the same time.
I'm about to upgrade my connection to 4G(LTE) so there will be 10mb/s and up (50mb/s max) connection soon.

EDIT: aaaaaand it's done. new LTE modem and connection is on it's way.
If you really have no other options, then LTE is a good alternative. Otherwise a solid 20 MB would be better: you really want your ping time to be very low and, despite a very good DL/UL , 4G has some serious problems when it comes to ping time, which is often much higher compared to cable.

Yes to the 1st too, I'll try rebuilding database I suppose.
As soon as Echo landed I've had these problems, nothing else has happened on my end.
Remember they took out the Asia server so have cleary being streamlining again. |

Game itself is not that laggy.
Players. Players are causing lags. Most games are smooth, then 'that' corp shows up and your PS3 is dying.

CCP should ban you for being in violation of the EULA. Your CIR is only 56k, and people like you are ruining this game.

I live in the NW UK in a rural area, i've been with sky, BT and Talk Talk, all give similiar stats (in different houses too)
They only have to give you a minimum of 3.4 download speed btw. |

Hi cowardly alt! You need an SSD, I dont lag, but the chodes that bought the level 5 damage subsystem can go chunk rocks.
I run an EVO SSD and am always loaded in before anyone else. |

Playing on my home server (EU) usually works fine-ish... (~40ms)
Playing on the US server is noticeable and can be annoying... (~160ms)
Playing on the Asian server is a certain way of running into the rail bug... (~350ms)

They may not answer to regular ping but you can use things like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTR_%28software%29 instead.
Edit: Lag seems to randomly affect some matches while the next match against the same people on the same map runs just fine... I have no idea why it is like that, and I can't say that I have noticed anything different as of late... |

I hear ya-- the CIR they have is in your contract. If you haven't run a ping test with a -t you should to see if you are dropping packets.
on your laptop from a command prompt type ping google.com /t
and let 15 to 20 request for acknowledgement be listed it will tell you if any fail.
if you do see any fail call your isp.

It usually happens. Mostly against some players. Like this afternoon, I played many battles, and everytime I was against this Opus Arcana squad, the game was smooth but these guys were teleporting everywhere, couldn't get shot and were killing everybody in STD suits in half a second...
Today it was these guys, but it can happen with many others and that's really aweful. Sometimes the framerate drops for no reason and that's even worse..
Fix the game before trying to add anything else.
(Hint: hit detection, lags, glitches,.. you've got some work :) )

reduce number of fittings and number of chat channels. make sure you dont have any fits run out during a match (ie you run out of complex shield extenders and 12 of your suit become invalid) i find to be a huge cause of lag aside from proto deployable equipment and logi suit bonuses

I have an SSD. SSD has nothing to do with LAG.
People think because this game is more complex than most FPS's the players most be more intelligent... I wish it were true
