uggh.... a couple months already....
ok, to explain my absence.
i took a vacation from ishukone to visit my homeworld in the Wildlands. unbeknownst to me and my crew, my homeworld, as well as a few adjacent systems have been struck with an outbreak of some kind, being that i didnt have any prior knowledge about it, i was suprised to see Thukker caravans surrounding the systems, i got in contact with the tribal council and learned of the quarantine from the system. however, this was my homeworld affected, what was i going to do?
so, i returned to Cal-space and into the malkalen Ishukone headquarters, where i asked for any medical specialists who wished to help my People get through. now, i know what your thinking; why would you travel halfway from the empires to ask for pick-me-ups to a company that takes you in as a worker?
Answer: New Eden. i mean, there are bound to be people who'll make the necessary medicine for a high price, i would ask SOE or perhaps the angel project, but Ishukone has stuck out for me since day one, i figured they might send a few shipments of medicine if i asked politely.
they did more than that. i was leading a small caravan of tayra's filled with cargo, a few hundred medicial specialists, a small fleet of support-class drophips with a portable medical bay attached ( designated "Asclepius" Class) and other goodies to stem the tide of the outbreak. i was also among the first to enter the infected systems via dropship ( more on that later) the skies where clear and the winds were fair, so landing and take-off where easy to manage.
however I too was infected, as well as the crew of the se'terra, due to a slight malfunction of the air filters inside the dropship. symtoms were headache, chest pains, discoloration of the skin, profusive sweating, ringing in the ears, coughing, vomiting, aches throughout my body, and the list went on and on. i was sent to the wards and ended up unable to walk for months on end.
this is coming from a clone soldier. so while i had endured, the others were not so lucky. docs began pumping me full of fluids while thukker tribesmen began serving minced apples, rice, and small loaves of toasted bread.( i later found that these foods, along with....i think some other fruit, were the easiest for the stomach to take)
but thankfully it paid off, the outbreak slowed and docs were able to treat most who were infected. sadly, and estimated 11% percent of my homeworld's population had perished. 5 crewmembers from the se'terra had also passed. Tonight, we are going to commence a burial ceremony throughout the systems affected by the outbreak. its hard to take in some of that information, but we've got to make do with what we have and move forwards.
may the souls of those passed guide us K'atur ya'd Sajle ao M'nod Dy'ohas Ny'kk
