Dragon Age is pretty much the same. It has a good ending, not a bad one like ME3 - it just doesn't matter what you really choose throughout your adventures, only a few things will change.

And without the threat of death looming over your party like the first one *I cried when my elvish rogue betrayed me for his comrades and I had to kill him :(* it takes away from the actual experience.

Dragon Age one was infinitely better.

I ddnt play any of the others so I have no input on that, all I can say is, I loved mass effect, even me3 so much so I had several different playthroughs.

To all my destiny boys I should have the dlc tonight, so if you trynA run some Crota send me a message In game :)

Btw it's my birthday today!!! Got wasted legally for the first time last night<3 great times, wish I took selfies.
