f.ex High Slot Omni Officer Module: Damage +2% Omni Damage Shield Extender +30 HP Myfibril 18% Recharger 15% Precision -8%db

I like your style, but so far the game design seems very rigid. The idea you presented would appear to be out of bounds. Personally, I would like to see a smattering of various hybrid dropsuits, and hybrid modules as you suggested, so I would have to **** in my pants if your idea were actually implemented. But I will save that **** until that day. For now +1 Awesome A+

Applies to all weapons of that type.

When they did that for Proficiency skills it was a pretty big hit for laser based weapons. You already do an extra 20% towards shields (that's a largest profile increase to either HP type out of the rifles), and shields are less HP for tanking to begin with. Changing proficiency to only +3% increase per level to shield damage made it pretty damn pointless.
I'd say profile damage mods would increase overall damage but at a lesser rate than regular damage mods.
