A lot of the community wants sights to be put on their rifles. Now, full customization would be awesome, but I doubt that is a feature that we will be getting in the near future. To mimic this, let's add sights to weapons that use irons (the assault variants for instance) and releae them as a separate weapon at the same price as the iron-sight weapon.
So there would be a Six Kin Assault Combat Rifle, and a Six Kin Assault Combat Rifle (scoped)
A Duvolle Assault Rifle and a Duvolle Assault Rifle (scoped)
It doesn't have to be an actual scope; I believe you said giving the ACR the SMG sight, the ARR the Botl Pistol sight, and the AR a modified ScR sight. Whatever you decide, I believe this will be easier to code for you, which in turn means we can get it faster for us.

Rattati has already talked about this like the above poster has said.
He might eventually get to it but there are more important things to fix first but I would love to put a Red Green Dot Sight on my Plasma Rifle.
As long as 4/5 (80%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP

I'm not a programmer, but I see it as slap the art assets of the sights on the weapon, name it Xweapon (scoped) and put it on the market. IT may be more complicated than that, but surely easier to do than to make an interface to adapt weapons, etc.

Grab current 3D models, copy paste mechanics from current guns while making sure it doesn't overlap (quite easy to do). I mean, that's how I would do it. |

Do they even have functional iron sights modeled for the ScR... Or did they just throw on a reflex and forget about it?
Maybe the reflex could be "unscoped", and there could be an actual ACOG sight that would be "scoped".

I dunno. Part of me agrees with you, because before there were a full racial variety of rifles, we just had the plasma rifle, with crappy iron sights, the first ones weren't so bad. I think around that time, we also got the ScR. Anyways, I do agree with you, because it's frustrating to not have it, I also kind of agree that there's more important stuff to get worked on. I also whole heartedly agree with you, that there should be full weapon customization. I think it would really make this game pop

Recommended interim solution to this the problem with coding / assets build for updating sights on Assault rifles:
1) Use the basic RR an dial back zoom to normal ADS level and give ti ARR stats = "Scoped ARR"
2) Use the burst Plasma Rifle model and using the approach above give it basic rifle mechanics and stats.
3) Use the basic CR mode and using the approach above give it ACR mechanics and stats
4) ASCR / SCR remain the same as they are now.
