Sgt Kirk Fatal Absolution Negative-Feedback 9824	Posted - 2015.03.11 17:50:00 - [1] - Quote I completely agree with Rattati's goal of making unfitted LAVs walking coffins and at first I agreed 100% with his methods of doing so. Further divulgence into the numbers whoever lead me to thinking that the LAVs will need extra slots to have a chance of survival, what's being proposed will turn us into coffins no matter how we fit it. LAVs beyond popular belief do not easily avoid swarms like people think. The second you turn a corner the missile will make a 90 degree turn and track your ass down in a second. AV grenades are getting an additional one which is needed but this does not boad well for an LAV with only 2-1 (Caldari) and 1-2 (Gallente) We need to return to the days of Caldari - 3 Highs 2 lows Gallente - 2 High 3 lows. I know this is my second thread on the subject but they were out on holiday when I last made the LAV feedback. *As long as 4/5 (80%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP*

If they get more slots chances are it will cost more ISK to fit them up to the levels we have now due to the base stats being nerfed. Caldari LAV can get to 2k plus shield but 2 AV nades is already more than that and the HMG can chew through the regen let alone if a flux hits it anyways. So i get more slots, i fit them up and they are maybe around what the old values were but in general weaker than the old LAVs. In EVE, which Rattati seems to be trying to replicate at least with vehicles, the defense stacking races go from, Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar. Like a Militia LAV is 18k or something? Wtf? Also Takahiro, like I said these values I pretty much farted out in 10 minutes so don't get too hung up on the exact values. As for a basic principle lets really take a look at what I'm trying to accomplish overall and see if we're on the same page in that regard Unfit LAVs are very easy to pop, possible single proto forge gun shot, 2 AV grenades, ect. Fit LAVs end up being stronger than current LAVs which I think are currently a bit too squishy General price decrease for all LAVs, they're way too high. Even if unfit are throwaway transport vehicles, they should be very inexpensive. I'm talking like....1/5 of the current price. Potentially looking at the HP values of Light Modules....Id prefer not to change them as not to affect the other vehicles, but I'm also not 100% satisfied with the way they progress from STD to PRO.
