Why Not allow us after successfully hacking an enemy vehicle, return it to our own base extract it from the battlefield.
The player can ether keep the component's or scrap the whole vehicle for isk after the battle
It might encourage hacking enemy vehicles more which I see very little of in this game.

Bpo lav? Also because welcome to Farmington, Mississippi.
Yes they dont have bpo dropships and tanks. But you gotta be fair. All or nothing.
I honestly like the idea. I have taken many vehicle users out and yea I want his/her/it's ion cannon in my inventory but I blow it up anyway. That much isk going up in flames makes me lol |

I see your point, so have it only autosell the vehicle after the fight, even if it has to be for half the value of the vehicle it would still add an additional layer to the game I feel

I think there were some technical difficulties with this idea (especially BPOs), though it is a good one which I support. I don't think recall should be available, but if you can keep it alive by the end of the match, then yeah, all yours.

Hmm that could encourage hiding in a corner and not combating, could also be a problem. I don't think it would be happening so much that recalling would be an issue, It's not like you could do it more then twice in a match, if your lucky

The original idea Cypher started the thread with is a fine idea, and was actually discussed way back around the initial Release of the game. At that time, "salvage" on the end-of-match screen was just random weapons, suits, and tons of modules. The players began to scratch heads: Why aren't we being rewarded with a REAL distribution of what the players lost in the match?
So I think Vulpes' post is right,GǪ there was indeed something in the game's mechanics that was preventing this logical, reasonable idea from being done.
IF they are ever able to accomplish it, I don't feel that BPO status should be allowed into the mechanic. If I succeed in hacking a red's LAV, then let's just say he "lost his piece of gear", exactly the way you lose one copy of your suit/weapons when you are killed. Then at the end of the match, SOMEONE (doesn't mater to me if Cypher or Vulpes ends up with it, it's okay), anyone on my team ought to have 1X LAV end up in his salvage.
If I get killed using my newly-hacked vehicle, or my vehicle gets blown up with me in it, then no one on their side ought to earn the vehicle as "salvaged". But once I hacked it, the red lost it in battle, and my team ought to gain a copy of it as salvage (no matter what happens to me or the vehicle later in the match).
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

If you hacked one though, any non BPO modules on it would be dumped into your inventory at the end of the match.
Having ownership of a vehicle change on hack would solve some Friend or Foe issues in Faction Warfare as well.

Your player can repurchase suit and vehicle setup's for there cost in an actual match so that info is available there. The game also keeps tabs on who owns what vehicle as it prevents allies from stealing what you've just called in and allows you to recall your own vehicle from the game.
Everything needed to set this up is in a match allready, I don't see any mechanical issue with setting it up now

Currently the owner of a vehicle is always the person who called in that vehicle. That is why if a Red steels your vehicle in Faction Warfare and starts killing your team mates, you can get booted for Friendly Fire (unless they have fixed this somehow).
For steeling to work, ownership would have to transfer when the vehicle is hacked.

exactly, if the game is keeping record of ownership allready all you have to do is
vehicle V's owner = player X player Y hacks vehicle V vehicle V's owner = player Y

I will accept this only if the person has the skills to run said vehicle, especially if this is doable by friendlies.
