Reselia, our former CEO had billions of ISK from the reports of others it is just sitting in her wallet.....stagnant....
These players started DUST's launch with 200-500mil. When DUST 514 launched CCP melted everyones salvage and gave them back the ISK at market value...
And in open beta you got alot of vehicles in salvage... Some players had a thousand+ vehicles.. The only thing they got to keep from assets was officer weapons and ISK.
After starting the DUST launch with 200-500mil ISK, PC then soon came after.. Most of these players invested 100-200mil each in investment into their corporations to get PC started...
It took 3-4 months of PC nearly daily before these players saw any returns to ISK and usually spent 100-200mil+ isk in suits and fittings competing as PC was full of competition.
After these people started getting success they started gaining ISK at a steady rate while earning their normal ISK profits from normal pubs... Allowing nothing but gaining wealth for a year of playing DUST.
The corporations who lost out in PC and the players largely under them went broke because they lost their initial investment plus the cost of competing...
The ones who won just kept getting better.... Only Politics and internal drama really split these corporations up.
Most of the vets from this era are sitting with 400m-2bil+ in their wallets... Unless they went on a drunken ADS spree for a month after they where nerfed...
More ISK has been generated in DUST from players creating new character then transferring the 250k ISK off then deleting.. Doing this for how ever many accounts they have the patience for... http://eve-offline.net/?server=dust <--- check the New players created graph... It has been like that for 2 years straight of players farming new character ISK.
PC players at least invested a lot of personal time and ingame assets to gain the advantage... Not grind a character creation and account switching process. |

I died 5 times to a full proto wearing enemy, all 5 deaths were from a core locus grenade, and 2 of those were OH players. PROTO in AMBUSH?? come on guys... I can run proto too but I don't have hundreds of million ISK that I got from "where-ever" you don't expect 300mil ISK to be grinded from pubs do you? If i had 1 mil of 1 bil, i would still be fine running proto gear...i made money using it when i was actively playing and could do it again (and no, i wasn't with a proto squad) just if there was a good squad on the enemy team, i would lose ISK you saying you made money using a full proto suit? you could barely die twice before losing money. so I guess the big question is: how does one make a hundred million ISK so they can proto stomp? is there a legit method to this or is it only a vet player thing from back in the day? are newer or non--vets screwed into grinding just to go against a decked out squad? COD is a so-so game imo but I think people like it cuz you can pick it up and compete; you don't get stomped by people with better gear and in-game skills. This game takes years of dedication to become godlike. I WANT A MILLION ISK!! well, it is really REALLY easy to NOT die in a pub match using a scout suit...i used the minmitar scout and had spent a lot of time knifing, so yeah...? I would not use a proto sentinel suit and expect to make money with it, i haven't used a sentinel suit as long as i have used the min scout. I'm really saying if you want to be a KD *****, then you can be!! Not everyone can get around 20 kills a game and have not 1 death (not 'blowing my own horn' or anything) When i used proto gear for the first time, i felt godlike. After a while i would play very differently using it because it was expensive, a 'scared' playstyle. I suppose if you can play in it like you would an ADV suit and manage to not get yourself killed, you are set for life
There is a reason a Sentinel suit is 55k not 78k... and the HMG is cheaper.... And the class has considerably less fittings.
People have a hard time looking at the big picture in this game... Sure, you might take a loss on a match here or there.. But most often when a good player averages out their ISK spent vs ISK made running proto... They will find themselves making profit running proto.
There is an expensive initial cost to running the learning curve of learning how to play a Proto suit full time with minimal losses... But after you have learned? You're good to make nothing but profit every day.
The only place now this type of player takes huge losses is when they invest a Few million into a PC match and then loose. But often gambling with profits made from Pubbing is fun as hell.
Now imagine spending 1-2 years earning profit everyday... This is why tons of Pubstars... Players who have never PC'd or have once or twice.. Are sitting with a Billion+
