So how do you guys fit up your shield fits. Just went Cal assault and want some new ideas.
Currently I drop a few damage mods, with energizers and a complex extender. Single regulator low with a 2 plates.

Plates are your enemy. Regs and kit kats are what I put in the lows. (2 reg 1 kat on the proto)

I gave up trying.
The only way I could work the suit was at range, and I'm much more of an in-your face player taking/holding points than I am camping at distance.
So I finally stopped fighting it and went armor tanked Gal Assault. |

I dont really bother shield tanking anymore on my min assault, even with 3 regen mods its still not going to help me much in a single firefight, I just use shield extenders to give me hp buffer on a speed tanked suit. |

For a nice advance suit to use in pubs, go 65+ shp/s (many combinations of Ener + recharge get you over [i use enhanced ener + comp recharge (71 sHP/s)]) have more than 420 sHP, and have less than 3 second delay.
2 enhanced extends
1 basic energizer
1 enhanced energizer
2 comp regulators
And fit to your heart's content afterwards abuse your high recharge by bouncing in and out of cover when you take damage. the delay is short so might as well reload before you forget.
Close range is suicidal though. Tread carefully.
Entering the void and becoming wind.

With all the obnoxious scans, I'd bring out a dampener. Being scanned while attempting flanking maneuvers or repositioning for long range Rail Rifle engagement is the pits.
I also use a reactive plate. Bit of buffer and regen.
Then again, what do I know. I specced out of Caldari assaults long ago, because screw that bonus.

just always have 2 shield regulators and 1 energizer on your ck.0 assault...and have a ck.0 scout ready as backup when scans come out....530+ eHp with 1.2/1.8 shield delay times
