What do I skill into? What's good? What does the "My Warbarge" thing do?
I have so many questions and when did they change that flaylock pistol? Didn't it used to shoot like 6 serpent looking rockets out of it that swirled around in the air?
:( this game is more confusing than it was two years ago I can't say welcome back in your case, Jin,... because Dust has lived up to its description as a persistent, innovative game: and it has evolved/developed considerbly since you last played. The good news is MANY of the changes are meant to lend help and charity to Newberrys (courteous slang for new players).
As you play in the general battle matches, you will earn salvage that could be helpful free advanced-dropsuits, cargo containers housing rare weaponry, and you'll need rare code-keys to open the containers.
Many of the changes have made your favorite weapons (like the Flaylock) better or worse than you may remember---player complaints on this Forum can have powerful affects on the game's evolution every few months.
Your personal "warbarge" is like another part of your character's life, to invest Components in, and GRIND slowly into a more powerful barge-factory that can eventually build or boost weaponry for your suit.
Never ask "what do I skill into", because you will get a thousand different paths of advice from players, all different (and often based on bad or sarcastic experiences those players had). There are EXCELLENT threads in this Training Grounds Section to give you the best choices to consider.
IN-GAME, a chat channel known as Learning Coalition is the best way to get real-time advice, and even mentors. Join that channel when you are logged into the game.
...The game is still as hard to survive and play as you remember (some argue it is MORE brutal on new players than ever). It is still so easy and frustrating to take three steps on the map, and get killed.
MUCH to learn about fighting well. Patience, it takes time.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...
