The BPO will be used as a marker for Legion.
If you have it, your stuff transfers. If not, it won't. This will stop the people who have 10+ alts that have been accruing Passive SP and will only have those that have "current interest in the game" to have that 'loyalty' rewarded.

I would go so far as to say any kind of port to any other platform is in indefinite hold. CCP will probably be happy to just make back their investments into this project by running the game on this platform until the end of PS3 PSN service, and then chalk it up to incompatibility with the EVE universe. |

For what it's wroth, CCP Rouge still considers himself an executive producer at CCP on his linked-in page. So unless Dust 514 is now the only free to play FPS project at CCP (with a terrible manhour-to-content-ratio) that can only mean that Legion is still around. |
