Hi, I'm an Australian Gamer and I'm currently loving Dust 514, its a great honour to test the game. However it would be much more fun with just one Australian server, since lag seems to play quite a bit into the game; but this might just be that I don't have very good gear. Anyway, thanks for your time and I hope to see you on the battlefield. |

It will mostly end up being Single Shard with EVE anyway, unless they plan on keeping the 'quick battle' system with regional servers. i f so.. then +1 this from another Australian

From fanfest they said there will be multiple battle servers and I think our closest one will be in Singapore. Heres hoping for 100-150 ms. |

As a Kiwi, I also go +1 for an Australian server as the difference will help out a lot easier |

i believe in the Ping thread by one of the dev's he has stated they are aware of the lack of Asia-Pacific servers and will be looking in to getting some. which is odd, as the game is being developed in Shanghai.

however, it is not stated in there. so i am not sure where i saw that. sorry, but i know i did |

Well, if the game is being developed in Shanghai are you insisting that there are local servers there?
And, if so, why would you be surprised that there would be latency issues? The problem is that all latency problems usually occur due to distance from one location to another. You wouldn't play games based on a server somewhere in Brazil would you? |

Can we please get a response from a Dev on this?
I'm from Australia and can confirm that there is still a persistent framerate issue.
I get this is a beta and all, but I want an assurance from a dev that Australian and New Zealand players won't be hindered at launch by the fact our two Countries are miles from everywhere else.
And no, an Asian server doesn't cut it (although it did help somewhat). Australia is a Continent all on its own...

Australia and New Zealand combined are not enough to warrant an aussie server... be thankfull if we get a server in singapore
