A LOT of the old players over the time I've been here.
They've always been great players, but they aren't god-tier. The SP gap made them that way, in the same way that the SP gap makes us God-Tier to those poor blueberries in MLT gear.
No doubt they would still be able to go and jump right into PC again, with some changes. But I'm not so sure that they could go and re-form the old corp and go ROFL-stomping.
They'll have a hell of a team, that's for sure. But the same can be said for any PC team that gets an influx of PC players that know what they're doing.

As Ghost pointed out the SP gap is what gives vets a huge advantage over younger players. During AEs reign they had some of the best and highest SP players. The same is not true now.
I know there were a ton of vets that pushed my shiit in all the time when I had low SP. But eventually my SP increased and my Dust skill increased and then I started to regularly kill the vets that always destroyed me.
However, once an old group of players adapted to the new PC meta I think fights against them would be pretty even against current PC corps.
The only real truth in history is that it was bloody.

Fun fact: I had 12 mil sp when the corp was active and Roner had 8
Also, Kal, Ari, and myself get asked to ring all the time. 3 people making a big difference, imagine if we had 16 :) The corp is very inactive yet still making a big difference in PCs
Oh and DJINN are weenies, I think the ones being seen now were either recently made ones or someone coming back. None of the AE DJINNs still play though. The name looks stupid in my opinion

I rremember they invited me into HellStorm, first Corp I've ever been in and I think the only Corp I've been in. I took a long break because CCP kept nerfing the sh!t out of the mass driver, flaylocks etc. While buffing the sh!t out of the AR, got tired of the AR sniping and the Assault class being favored amongst all. While everything else being nerfed to the ground. |
