proto lvl laser pulse turrets that auto lock an fire 85 m from the redline, on each side. Also an issue of three smoke grenades to clones, (no cpu or pg cost attached). this change would, i think would give a high degree of self interest not to slaughter ppl as they drop from the mcc an the surrounding fire base, ? can u guys, figuire this out case blue berries are leaveing mid battle an leavin the vets that stay almost always have to experience a very expensive fighting retreat !! 10 mill isk in one battle with freakin scout lover's is is my personal examnple, an man it happens at least 30 to 50 times a day in a 4 to 8 hr real time span. with an the end of downtime im left with a red list of fitted suits an begging for isk from other buddies, an i really , really hate askin them for help if i dont absolutly have to
i would like anyone who agrees with me that constant redlineing deminishes the dust 514 experience with new an vet dust players alike, share your thoughts on this matter, please an maybe ccp will take notice, thanks for your time ,
Sincerely, a humble Canadian.

thank you for your thoughts, theirs a little digression, but hey, its dust right! my reply to the redline snipeing, being sometimes one of them, i get driven up their by> 1) the invisisble super scouts that can somehow matrix dodge my hmg 2) jump a whole two m in a given direction an then 3 shot me with a shottie no matter what lvl. in the suit an amr. 3) or the the glowy blaster tanks that constantly run into the redline, an just in front of it. 4) or the evil crw camp or swn link camp or the insidious spwn link in a wall to get stuck with the game inftrastructure and have to sucide, witch counts clones for the opposite side. this particular **** move happens usually on enemy qsincs that seep into our side's roster before the battle starts, 60% of the time on any given day of the week. and last but not least my fellow soldier's ! 07 btw .. 5) being matched up against corp vets who range from 25 mil to 80 mil spent when my alts are under 10 mil spent, every match, every day no matter what the faction, battle type. alone or wit other low level dudes.
These are the reasons why i redline snipe. its because im forced too . who wants to die feeling like ur a mere mortal battleing gods, an dieing every 5 secs , fudgeitcles it sucks . an boring as hell,, as to why u cant see them your precision skill is too low . its why i cant see u when im there sniping because its a militia sniper rifle i use, Why? cause im not a sniper!! As to higher level guys, that have thales, charge, ishkone, an kali's . i dont know, you'd have to ask them politely. who knows, you may get an answer. i could guess,,, that maybe thier tired of being shot, shady like ya know. or their driven up their. like i am sometimes! leave your comments an thoughts, DEVS if you could weigh in on this too that would be killer,, eh peaces guys an gals ! 07 |

Don't make any installations drop until 2 minutes into matches (like an OMS).
This way window lickers aren't distracted by that Railgun Installation that sits 300 meters away from anything with little to zero tactical FOV. They may be more inclined to run/fly/drive toward those letters with the square border in the opening moments of matches. |

This may not be a cool topic to wade into, but "Redlining" is a subject that will always be around.
Especially among Newberrys and Advanced-players----but with different points of view.
So, I think (THINK) it's a good idea to mention in our posts whether you are a new player (Newberry) and are being redlined often----or if you are speaking as an Advance-player who believes the Redlining should not be allowed to exist in the game, for gameplay reasons.
IF you're speaking as an advance player, Canarius (btw, your character name is pretty cool, I like it ), then I believe that getting Redlined by the other team is a very valid event that the game should continue to allow. I only say this because getting Redlined is COMPLETELY avoidable once the majority of players on your team realize the simple things that cause it. Being too predictable about how you first enter the battleground and how long you stand in that "safe backfield area" after you've spawned/MCC'd.
Lingering in the same staging areas time and time again while you call in an RDV, or while you decide what you which direction you will start your assault first.
Deciding to "stay and defend the home goal post" in this match, (without first LOOKING to see if two or three of your fellow mercs have already chosen that same strategy--so now too many players have chosen to be protective goalie at the same time).
Deciding to operate one of the home-defensive gun Installations (this is only a good idea when you see NO ONE else is manning them---and even then, you SELDOM need to man a home-installation for the entire match).
In short, Thor's comment contains a lot of painful truth: Redlining is a sort of "punishment of combat" that your side gets ONLY when they don't get in the good habit of mobilizing out from the staging area as soon as they start the match. It's okay for a 2 or 3 players to get good at "home defense", but everyone else MUST get out there doing all they can to keep the battlefield open. I have played Dust for nearly 2 years now (yes, I'm an adv player),.. but have only gotten caught in two of those Redlines--two was enough for me to make sure I can never be caught again--they were a HORROR.
IF you're speaking as a Newberry, Canarius, please just remember the causes I listed above----and keep in mind that combat in Dust is about "controlling access around the playing-map". Quickly move away from the MCC and the home-CRUs and find a hiding-place further into the battleground before you park to strategize or study the situation.
Try not to just run passed a CRU without making sure it's blue--every blue CRU keeps a door open for your friends. If they still end up loitering around in the staging area and get Redlined, hey, there's nothing you can do for them. But at least you will NOT be trapped along with them.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

I think that's putting a bandaid on the problem. Fixing matchmaking altogether is what really needs to happen.
One idea that I really like tho to help stomps is to add accelerated MCC damage in pubs when all points are held for a period of time.
IE: Being five capped for one minute adds 15% damage to MCC, every subsequent minute adds 5% damage.
This would help both teams get the match over with faster if it's completely one sided.
Still, this wouldn't help with Dom or Bush, which is why matchmaking needs a real fix as well
Who cares what some sniper has to say.
**--CCP, let's push for the license of Dust/Legion on both current Gen consoles-
