Also, this snow is a direct result of global warming. The carbon barrier that keeps thermal energy trapped in at equator levels, also reflects away thermal energy that tries to equalize the Arctic pressures, causing an expanded polar front during the winter months.
Basically, you can expect more of this kind of weather in the coming years, unless a major shift to renewables happens.

You think carbon barrier is bad, try having no ozone layer at all! There is literally a huge hole over NZ and skin cancer and mellionoma (not sure if spelt right) are common here (I think its 1 in 5 kiwis get it). So do go on about your snow from lack of carbon barrier.
I find your lack of heaviness... disturbing...

 aaaaawwwww... you 'muricans with you "snow problem" that's so cute. Try to live here in arctic circle. 9 month out of 12 is cold and then there is that 1 week of warm "summertime" that is the time we must drink and swim until we all drown in to the 1000 lakes.
