Hi, Ryanjr,GǪ and your request has been discussed before. The debate was hot and angry, but the issue about Dust being a "different" kind of game from what other combat game titles are trying to achieve was a valid one.
It is also hard to understand sometimes, and easy for newer players to not see:
Where the original and still larger game called EVE-Online is about spaceship vehicles in a galaxy full of planets (where the players NEVER put a foot on the surface of planets in that game)GǪ
GǪDust 514 was strongly committed to being a "Foot on Soil" game, where players as INFANTRY are the constant and always necessary playing pieces to conducting combat. It is a tough concept to keep us players focused on. We have VEHICLES in this game. But I think CCP's mindset is that the vehicles are only supposed to be SUPPORTING and reinforcing the infantry players---the infantry players are always supposed to be the stars of every kind of battle in Dust.
So in spite of our love of these vehicles (Dropship players will kill you for disrespecting their flying machines---HAV drivers want maps that have NO infantry to get in their way of stomping enemy vehicles all day----LaV drivers,GǪwell, uh..), the game will only contradict it's main concept if it let's us make the vehicles the stars of the fight.
I'm a Dropship player, but I kind of agree with NOT allowing vehicle-only matches in Dust. Not this game.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

I think you don't get it. Dorpships players get what they want when that want it Tanks vs tanks (Because most match that is what going on tanks vs tanks vs AV vs dorpshipers vs LAVs ...so on). It makes me mad when you see AV spammed, and it's a Starter fits.. I talk to most of the tankers, and they would, be cool with it. I think it's... I am going to waste my time....

The problem is that the idea sounds great on the surface. However I guarantee you that the people who will agree with you the most loudly are currently foaming at the mouth over the module that will allow blasters to clip infantry in anticipation of a bloody harvest of tears.
So they'll be busy farming KD the way they did before the dispersion nerf.

5 vs 5 would be fine in my opinion... There aren't that many people who want to use vehicles for anything other than stomping infantry anyway.
Would need a way to spawn in vehicles, though, otherwise it's either - first to get ahead stays ahead blowing up the RDVs, or redzone railtank spamathon, where no one moves out of their safe spots.
Getting vehicles vs vehicles, would be a nice change of pace.
Maybe just a Corp vs Corp thing that allows Corps to show off who has the toughest vehicle team, would be interesting.
Perhaps it could happen with meta-level locked modes, since lets be honest, meta lvl 1 tank vs meta lvl 1 team is a bit unfair for the infantry. Best to split things up. |

**** yeah I will.
None of this rebalance went my way......it's practically my duty to break the current tanks.

Perfect.
Given that I'm going to have an effective 9048 armour, twin stabilisers, a scanner, and a what 200 rep/sec I'm just going to spend my time infantry sniping for a good 100m+ away if all goes well.
