This thread seems like a humble brag to me, saying way wah I got 42 kills and killed again is giving me a hard time oh why woe is me :-/
Last night, I went Ronda Rousey on an entire team of heavy's with HMG's. Yes. An entire match with every suit being a heavy on the other side. Every one!
What did I do? Duh! Remote explosives! 29 kills, 8 once in one shot throwing them down a stairwell!
Hate mail? Nope!
I wish I got hate mail!

Seriously, I have played literally thousands of rounds of DUST, and I have seen some pretty hopeless stomps in my time. It takes a special person to stick around on either side of the match when someone is doing 40/0 on the killfeed. I've never seen one match where it happened, with about 30 or so being the highest I can imagine remembering.
But let's just say It's utterly legit.
Then matchmaking is atrocious.
KDR matchmaking fixes everything but the stupid purple Quafe stuff.

Yours was in standard gear, though. I was using proto in mine.
Protostomping unfortunate scrublets is probably less impressive than stomping less (but still stomping) in standard gear.

Getting into the 40s happens with vehicles on open maps with scrubs.
I have blater tanked my way into the 40s with a soma on some maps. Just saying.
Also, if you are lagging just send him a "Cool story bro" email and be done with him.
Heavy with a massive bullet hose called Lola (Burst HMG).

Also, the incredulity of someone going 40-0 just means you havent rolled with any real killers. Back when I was in Burgezz my boy Bane rarely got less than 40, and getting less than 30 he was probably afk. Some people can just shoot, know where the action is, and never get caught slipping.

OK kiddies, story time.
Earlier today I booted up DUST, sold a crap ton of weapons and dropsuits and equipment I no longer needed, attended some business then booted up a match, which took forever to load BTW.
As I was playing a game of Skirmish (Give me the new map dam you!), everybody started whipping out their APEXs, Protos, and stomping me to a bloody pulp in my fugly militia gear.
So I do what any of us DUSTies do, I get mad and whip out my Proto. Clone by bloody clone fell to my Heilmar Ak.0, I only lost like 3 suits. They fell like flies at my grungy golden black boots. And you know what, not, one, hate mail. I felt devastated, I wanted to cry so bad. Why can't I kill you right? Do I need more hax? Should I hunt you like cur? WHY!? WHY DON'T YOU HATE ME!!?

It all depends on how long you both stay in their range of Vision, and range of Acknowledgement. This is primarily why tanks get noobed on so much. You cannot drive one around without half the map population knowing where you are at any one time. Hence forcing the visually unaware to "see" the 0/0 kdr tank more than the guy who was killing them 20 times in a row. Second thing... is Acknowledgement... any time a tank fires in your direction the player involved thinks it must be targeting them specifically, even though there could just be a dumb cluster they decided to run in.
Now lets look at this same thing with a dropsuit.
Dropsuit fires at a player.... they loose track of it as soon as it goes around a corner. They can't say "That's the same dropsuit that was shooting at me earlier" because they already forgot the suit details etc. It all blurs. Vision is very weak for suits. Acknoweldgement is also near impossible. Unless they take the time to read their own kill feeds, they won't often know who killed them, nor care. On the other hand, if a tank kills them, they know it was a tank, THEN they find the tank name and owner etc, because it's easy to track down.

i used officer knives in a match, when echo deployed....killed by a commando with a shotgun, then sniped, then DP'd by 2 heavies twice
lost all my officer knives, only to meet KingThunderBolt 3 times in a row afterwards
