The event is going to start today and i have my doubts that the dust players actually will make it. But wait my fellow guys there is a backdoor that opens up possibilitys for CCP. So lets take a look at the exact wording

Now my fellow mercs we dust players are not the only ones who use clones, the Eve pilots aswell are using clones so upon death they respawn into a fresh clone in a station.
So knowing this i expect that the total deaths from eve+dust players will be counted together towards the same goal. Cause no way in hell will this small community generate 1 million kills a day, espacially since the regular weekdays are not really healthy for the playercounts.

Well last time we averaged 800K+ kills a day, with a playerbase closely resembling this one, I crunched the numbers in the announcements thread if you want to take a gander at it, and that was when we thought we wanted 1M kills with a stretch goal of 2M. Since we know we have to hit a much higher goal I think we can do it, especially since the majority of dust players don't have a BPO and have different goals compared to the bitter forum elite.
Also factor in the APEX suits and I think we'll be seeing a lot of shooting, especially since unlike last event, this event the needle trolling is basically impossible without the other player's consent.

Apex suits wont change anything. Vets (like myself) just deploy with a full squad and stomp as per usual. And as i remember correctly scrubs could allways use their free starter fits (which 80% of the players still use). Only because the ingame market wants you to get the full apex set for 200k AUR doesnt mean you will do well with it.

Indeed.
It always amazes me that people think only 5,000 people play per day.
MAG at this point (game lifespan) had less people playing at the same time yet had over 50,000 different players per day.
24 hours in a day.
Many people log in and log out...
Just think about that a while Big miku...

Honestly though, it's unlikely that CCP will let this event be a failure, simply because it would reflect poorly on the health of the game and it's player base. I wouldn't be surprised if we fell at least a million or two short of the goal and CCP opted to roll out the rewards and give us some fudged numbers to keep morale high anyway. And if they do, good on them. It's in the game's best interest.

Yep I agree stylie. Even on MAG every match I played was with different players. Heck rarely encountered the same players.

It truly depends how the community works together.
Everybody should be running weak ass fits, potentially a bpo suit with nothing but a bpo weapon. Also, no-one should be destroying uplinks, time travelling to the front is time wasted. If the vets go full pro and stomp they'll be the reason we don't achieve 5 million.

You'd think but there are too many tryhards that care too much about their KDR.
Also, this is going to be the first time I think needles won't be a problem since you have to request it now. But I highly doubt you're going to convince those usual stompers from bullying their logis into carrying a needle for their expensive suits.

There's simply way too much tinfoil hattery going on here and misinformation. I will now lock this, and would like to suggest that any numbers speculation will probably be off by a few miles in all directions. Better start shooting some faces instead!
