Nearly all prototype items have a corp name prefix and "Core" doesn't reference any corp. Changing it to Boundless locus grenades would make a lot more sense because it's a corp that makes Minmatar stuff that's already mentioned in-game for items like Boundless mass drivers and heavy machine guns.

There is a mining npc group called Deep Core Mining Association. It's a caldari corp that is heavily active in minmatar space. In minmatar space rather than being called DCMA they are often referred to as "Core."

I'll take your word for it, but how come the information on its wiki page doesn't reflect that?
