Decent myofib fit and strategy?

Ansla Valier Edimmu Warfighters Gallente Federation 11	Posted - 2015.02.26 04:30:00 - [1] - Quote At first I thought the advantage was that you can melee while cloaked so you might be able to get 2 hits in really quick but the range is way less than nova knives (which I'm very used to) so it's easy to back away. Then I tried decloaking, melee with my weapon and shoot. Sometimes better because I can sprint and melee again or shoot instead but it's not really worth the 3 high slots. I thought about putting them on a commando instead but getting into melee range would be tough. Here's the only half decent fitting I've come up with (Tried combinations of kin cats, cardiac regulators, plates, etc): Scout ck.0 Combat rifle Submachine Gun Complex Myofibril Stimulant x4 Enhanced Cardiac Regulator Complex Reactive Plates ARN-18 Cloak Field 93k ISK One of the cheap suits I play much better in with nova knives: Scout G/1-Series Milita Combat Rifle Ishukone Nova Knives Complex Shield Extender x2 Complex Profile Dampener Complex Reactive Plates x2 Cloak Field 44k ISK

I thought I checked but you're right, it's 120 vs 80. 3 complex myofibs on a minmatar scout is more than 4 on a cal/gal/ammar scout. Plus they're a little quicker. It's a step in the right direction at least. Still probably need more strategy. Might just mean time, deaths and a pile of ISK.

Best way to get hits is to punch THROUGH the target. Don't hit and back up right afterwards. Punch them while walking/sprinting through them. Gives you better HD Doubly important for backpedalling targets. If they are backpedaling, don't bother walking and punching. Sprint into them while punching. Born Deteis Caldari. It has two very important characteristics: Higher native melee attack damage, but perhaps more importantly, higher speed and the single most important stat, stamina and stamina regen. The regen for stamina on the Caldari is horrid for some reason, making it regen stamina at a much lower rate. This could get you in quite a bad situation where you can't throw a puch after sprinting after your target. I'm trying to get to a point where I basically treat melee as my primary and then throw on any old primary for backup (I already do this for nova knives). Didn't consider assault too much. Will give the assault a try when I get the SP to skill into it. Maybe the commando eventually but I'll need some time before I can skill into it lol.

The PLC offers great flexibility with the Flaylock pistol if you are spotted too far away. I would also suggest an Ion Pistol/Bolt Pistol combo. If you find a wall, and a heavy on the other side waiting, just pop out with a charge shot multiple times. The BP also gets you some good ranged shots. Lol Mostly courtesy of Mr. H3X. My top three favorite melee fits are thus far: Assault ak0 AR of choosing NK (mostly for taking heavies as they round corners) 3x comp myofib 2-3x kincats 1-2x ferro 1 comp rep Very good, especially if you encounter heavies or lighter built meleers. If you are so compelled, might swap out a plate for a damp. Haven't tried it yet. Lol Assault mk0 PLC Flaylock 3x myofibs 1x extender 2x kincats 2x cardiac regs Yes. Cardiac regs. Because NEVER running out of stamina AND moving at 9.73 m/s is the shiznit. Assault c/1 series PLC Flaylock 3x myos 1x ext 1x kincat 1x damp or cardiac reg A much cheaper option. Basic versions of both weapons works wonders. Cardreg makes up for calass's crap stamina at the cost of stealth. I have tried calscout fits but generally medium suits just work better for this. Was like 4-6 kills in a row with an six kin AR out in an open field. Worst place for that kind of experiment.

Perhaps a Complex profile dampener instead... Well, I have tried it and those trials were less than a success. I do have a setup with nothing but 2 kincats and a dampener in the lows and find my self falling to my death quite often.. and when i did survive I would hardly recover before getting taken down by 1 stray bullet. So yes... 1 Reactive plate works for me.. with out them, the 2 Kincats I have on would kill me on every other staircase I jump down or railing I hop over... FORGE/FLAYLOCK/FISTS PLASMA/PISTOL/PUNCH ALL OF YOU PUNKS GET HUMILIATED AFTER LUNCH!
