How bad can it be having not being on same team as him but if freindly fire was on a awful lot of my squad mates would have been dead last night on the europe servers defending B i was a heavy using a gattaling gun or hoser as i call it but i started to feel sorry for the fellas trying to evict us from the location because there was 4 of us up there my with the heavy suit drawing agro and 3 assult troops using swarm launcher,
the swarm launcher s get old when the guy with the HMG got about 20 assist in one match. |

i'd like to say one thing, i haven't had the (dis)pleasure of dealing with either the OP or the person they're refering to, however, blocking someone SHOULD mute their comms from comming in. if not, PLEASE allow a 'vote to mute' option, allowing the people who have comms turned on to vote to mute another player.
only reason i can see for the mute an individual player would be if CCP is using a broadcast method to send the voice to everyone in a group, and it's done by mixing the voices together, then sending them all, rather than sending each user seperately(smart move for bandwidth limiting, bad move if you want/care about muting an individual)

I dislike that he uses, no, abuses swarm launchers, but I've not heard him on the mic any. His replies make him sound like an 8 year old though, and I'm not joking. I'm sure we're all in agreement that he's an annoyance, I'm just hard pressed be believe that a banning is required.

Just because someone plays music during a game. I don't think that it constitutes a ban. I would rather see more support for a mute feature rather than a Ban. I also feel like if you aren't breaking the rules consciously (utilizing a glitch repeatedly to get more kills, or points) Then you shouldn't have to worry about getting banned. Because dropping the ban hammer is rather serious. It says "We have found that you are the lowest of the low in this game, therefore you will never be able to play again" To me, Playing music definitely does not fall under the ban category.
Also I don't really care if he is incredibly annoying or young, everyone has been annoying at some point in there life, give him a chance to realize his faults. And if the mute feature is implemented I'm pretty sure everyone ignoring him will make him see the errors of his way. |

It's not that he plays music. It's that he plays it so loud nothing else can be heard. Not other voice chat, nor game sounds (if you're unfortunate enough not to have a mic, so the crap is coming through your speakers.)
The game has a recourse for team killing (griefing,) but not blaring music to the point where it makes it impossible to hear anything else in the game (also griefing)?

There is nothing remotely similar between the sort of griefing we see in Eve and this type. PKing people or podding them or whatever to make them lose resources/ships/whatever is one thing, but this is the equivalent to giving other players access to your ship's speaker system in Eve and letting them blast speed death metal at you constantly with no way to stop it apart from logging out of the game.
There are no great ramifications for death in Dust, so we can't "punish" griefers in any way, shape or form like we can in Eve. Allowing frivolous TKs and voice chat griefing isn't a form of PvP or political intrigue or whatever, it's just f-ing annoying and will advertise your game as THE place to go for little 12 year old s***s who have nothing better to do than **** people off. |

In fairness there is no point banning him for what using a op weapon, spamming crap music and replying in a arrogent or chilish manner, i reckon at least 70% of us have done things in the beta that make us fall into catagory of this for example i find i spawn camp people at B to have any hoope of defending it and have because of this knowledge become somewhat anti spawn camper due to it being to easy but yet realise its down to a flawed design after all on B people effectivly spawn within spitting range of the objective.
Now on the treads i have resonded in anger towards people who dismiss anypoint i or someone else has made and beein in general arrogent and childish often resorting in questioning ones skills or if they are true gamer while not bringing up any valid counter argument other than it suits them.
But ultimatly if people didnt trool swarms or spawn camp or even this fella playing music how would we figure out if the problem existed and now is the time to fix it stats aint saved so no ones getting hurt except for mabye ego but thats it |

Pretty much everytime I have faced Bad Furry in a game I have completely and totally annihilated him. Its kind of funny watching him try to bunny hop over to me while getting sprayed in the face by gun fire. Takes the guess work out of leading the target when they are jumping....
It is so easy to pick him out of a crowd, hes the one jumping up and down looking at the floor. If you see that, you have your target.
As for the ban thing, I don't see CCP acting on this realistically so my advice is if he starts spamming music just turn off voice chat in your options for the game. Not like you will be able to hear anyone's orders otherwise |

Aside from process of elimination, there really isn't anyway to know who is doing what in voice chat, unless maybe the select menu shows when a mic is transmitting.. wait.. they're always transmitting.
At least he's not playing some stupid mash-up recording of characters from old movies trolling everyone. That used to happen in BFBC2 way too often. The plus side, is you can just turn off your mics and mute your TV and play anyway right?
We do need a mute button, but we also need to know who is talking and have a way of targeting them to mute. Also, just a general mute of all convo that carries over to the TV speakers would be nice too. |

Its maddening and it sucks to play the game with the tv on mute.
Damn ps3. At least inthe PC we got corp managed TS3 or Mumble where people take comms seriously and theres push to talk functionality.... |

My comment is based on the experience with some Eve Online whiners who got scammed in Jita when they paid Millions of ISK for a Navy Issue Ibis or when they lost their 250million ISK hulks to the participants of Hulkageddon. |
