As in feeling limited to one particular suit or playstyle even though you have access to many other fittings?
This entire week, it seemed as if the only thing I did was scan reds with my GalLogi. Sure, I could have opted to play something else, but when a good majority of matches end in stomps because the blueberries lack the motivation to fight against Proto squads of Heavies and Scouts, it's as if I'm forced to provide perma-scans just to keep my teams in the fight.
I don't know why, but blues will fight if they know the positions of the red dots. They'll keep going even if stomped into the redline. However, without scans everyone loses hope, leaves games, or resorts to redline sniping.
I thought squadding up would allow me to change things up a bit, and I was looking forward to some good ol' knifing fun when I joined Dreis and some others from NKU, but even then, I somehow got stuck again in my ScanLogi for most of the matches we played.
I'm sure pilots sometimes feel this way since not all maps are vehicle friendly, but what about the rest of you? Do you ever feel stuck? |

Occasionally.
I have found that when my team is being really stomped, I end up running my speed hacking fit and suicidally hack everything I don't get killed trying to get to. Particularly CRUs and objectives.
Unfortunately when teams are mismatched, there is zero that can be done to make much difference.

I've been kind of stuck on my two minlogi fits here recently. Though I've been trying to maximize my SP gain since I don't play too often anymore; and uplinks + reps with a sprinkle of the other logi stuff is still the best way to do it.

Yep I used to be forced to play as a scout "assault" to avoid perma-scans and other scout users from destroying any kind of decent tactic.
I still do it when "YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED" message doesn't want to leave my screen...

Can't control the blues, but in squad I don't allow that lack-luster behavior. They will carry some type of equipment, switch to deal with threats, and work as a team. Do that, or find a tard squad to F off in.
I like my roles, and have based them around such challenges. I make isk doing what others don't want to. :)

Seems like your problem is being the stomped not the stomper..squad up do some stomping

Bluebs pull snipers out....I pull a forge out and blast through the offending stompers.
Then again, some teams are just god awful. Had a match yesterday that I joined with less than a third MCC armour left, and yet somehow still managed to come second on my team.
Bluebs need to learn to stop focusing on the reds at the line, and push through a different way.

Delete all of your fits and only remake 7.
Make 4 cheap suits or just use APEX.
Now check all of the game modes.
Run that for a day.

No I don't.
I rotate callogi, minlogi, calscout, minscout, calmando, minmando, calsenti and dragonfly scout almost every battle.
I start with prominscout w/ hive+RE to hack and then go to depot and switch to logi.
If I hear tanks or DS I switch proto minmando and swarm those.
If get stomped I choose calmando+ ishukone sniper.
sometimes I take out my calsenti and forgesnipe some inf.
If there is a tight map I use dragonfly scout with RE's to get some angrysentinels.
Assault is the only class I don't like.

While I do know what you're getting at, for the purpose you've outlined, that scanner will work just as well on a non-logi suit. So you can scan and carry on assaulting, scouting or whatever. |
