This has been happening on and off for, well, forever. Occasionally I'll go to sprint or, lately, swap weapons and suddenly the Neocom or one of the D-pad menus will pop up. This has happened during a Forge vs Turret firefight with a HAV or when dealing with a Nova Knifer and has, more than once, gotten me killed.
Is this a Dust issue, a controller issue or both? No other game reacts to the L3 input the way Dust does, even games where I use it often and has D-pad menus or weapons changes, so I'm not sure where the problem lies or if it's a combination of issues.

Something just popped into my head: What controller scheme are you using?
In any case, you aren't the first to report this, many others (Aeon Amadi included) were having this issue. I haven't run into it myself and have been thankful I haven't (knocks on wood).

I'm using the Default schemes for everything.

I been having this same issue tried different controllers, and different controller setups, I started with the duty calls setup, happened with all of them, and always results in death, I would be angry over it if I ran proto.. But since I mostly run cheap suits, (financial reasons those bpos aren't cheap, plus only got a couple proto things so far lol) it doesn't bother me much |

I used to hae this glitch, would drive me crazy, not matter what setup I tried it continued. I sent CCP a couple strongely worded support tickets even only to find out its a problem with the controllers. after awhile the left toggle wears out on the post and causes it to come into contact with the menu button. not physically but on a circuit level. easy fix is spend the money and get a new controller. and don't buy a cheap knock off controller either, send the money and get a proper ps3 trademark controller, or go next level and get a ps4 controller, but I found that with them the ps button doesn't sync with the setup. hope this helps, and hope to see you in my sights soon |
