I feel like its hard to find a corporation in this game with active players, but there are always matches loading and pubs running.
I'm pretty happy with the new corporation I've joined (Horizons' Edge) as they've just entered an alliance with VP Gaming Alliance. I'm going to have lots of new people to play with, but from our corp chat there is only so many players on at any given time.
Why are there so many players in Dust but yet we are all so divided? I have just now finally gotten what it took me a long time to get....log in and there are lots of people to play with.
I've yet to play with many people but one of the things that always annoys me is everyone out for themselves and no one willing to squad up. What gives?

Quarantined is the word.
KDR matchmaking would patch all the patches into pure patchitudity.

WHY are we ALL so divided? It's easier to make money solo. It's nowhere near as fun. As to mercs being scattered there is a prophesy.
When all are scattered to the wind a mighty warrior shall...
That's all that was left of it but I think the rest goes like this:
...make a sandwich. Everyone will join him just because he used spicy brown mustard.

The large number of corps in game comes from a lot of people just want power. That is all. It would be highly beneficial for a lot of corps to simply merge, especially with the new PC changes coming.
Even I plan on joining a big corp when PC is worth it. |

I suspect that PC 2.0 will pressure soloists and members of inactive corps into larger, more active corps. I suspect this will be accomplished through Corp Fleet Perks.

On several occasions the Wolves have absorbed smaller corps. Merging is a little different. Two well off corps should be allies. You want to avoid cliques. It does noone good if your vets won't teach the new guys. We've even had to assign buddies.

Lol.
I'm thinking that Districts will become centers of Component Manufacturing. If there's cool stuff to be unlocked in late-stage Barge subsytems, many will want to upgrade their Barge faster. Being a member of landholding corp or raider corp will get them there faster. And since you're already yawning ...

Because lots of people play for different reasons.
Some could care less for PC, or playing seriously.
Some just want to play with their IRL friends, and want to stick to a group that reflects only that.
Others need to create a corporation that puts into context an unfortunately chosen moniker that contains inuendo that was unintentionally overlooked during its creation, only to find out well into the life of the character when it was way too late to biomass.
Former CEO of the Land of the BIind.
Any double entendre is unintended I assure you.

I am honestly hesitant to turn on the microphone and team up with other players, A large section of players seem to have no grip on reality but they are adamant that their dream world is true, this really disturbs me. |

Because we're arrogant.
Not only that, but people in Dust hold grudges for forever.
Wars in PC are often started by things that happened so long ago only a few people remember them.
