By big corp cowards, I mean full squads of proto runners from the same corp.
This is why I am voting FOR squad size to be reduced. Hell, even better would be if they didn't allow squads in the new metalocked mode. God I'd love to see these guy's faces when they can't protostomp all day long (There's a LMFAO parody somewhere there).
When squads of six members stay on the enemy redline in full proto and sometimes officer gear, you know for a fact that they actually NEED their proto to be any good at the game. That's why none of them ever use anything less. As if their egos aren't inflated enough already, **** off to FW/pc where you belong, coward scum.

Then they must really suck balls at pc. There's a big difference between shooting unorganised bluebs and going up against a team who also run full squad proto.

If you get on to play with your friends, then it's kinda odd to actively choose not to play together out of some sense of "fairness" to people with fewer friends playing. I mean, it's a squad-based tactical shooter, right?
If I jump on nowadays I'd most likely be solo because so few Subdreddit play, but it's hard to get angry about other groups playing together as the game intended. Isn't that why they made the squad-finder anyway?

If that's why your voting to reduce squad size, you're going to be in for a real disappointment when you load up the game to find that the change did nothing, and that you are still getting stomped by "big corp cowards".
Though if I may ask, what meets your criteria of "big corp cowards"?

The game is only alive because of the social aspect.

I don't refuse to run proto in squads amd expect no-one else to. I refuse to run them in pubs because it's cowardly. Pubs are where all the bluebs are. I do not enjoy stomping them in proto, it's boring. Then again, I clearly don't need power trips like most mercs do.
I save my proto for FW, where it actually matters. But hey, you lot carry on stomping new players in their mlt with your proto suits. It's not them you're making look like crap players.

Well not everyone was apart of the "Great Pc Farming" so not everyone has the isk, and people that just came out of academy clearly aren't going to have proto to use.

Please explain to me why running proto in FW is just fine, but running proto in pubs is "cowardly".

New players (and vets) are found in both game modes, so, outside of justifying your own ethics and playstyle, what's the real difference? |

Pubs aren't competitive, you don't get anything extra for winning. In fw there's actually something to work for; LP, APEX, District Ownership, etc
In all seriousness, mercs will find their wallets would suffer a lot less if they only ran proto in fw/pc. Neither are active enough to make a massive loss. Lose 2 proto fits in one pub, and the payout doesn't justify it.

BUT
Why should I not use the gear I've spent so so so long grinding for? I should be able to use everything I want and everything I've earned. I earned the isk to run that gear, I earned the SP to skill in and maximize that gear!
The flaw is in the game...CCP's responsible for this. There should be Proto tier, ADV tier, Basic tier and militia tier game modes, which I think is what they're addressing with metalevel lockouts in the Warlords run....
So this thread is moot, this point is irrelevant and this topic is dead :D |

Actually I hope there aren't 4 different modes for Meta. Because you just know a vast majority of these power trippers will exclusively stay in the proto tier.
I'm hoping pubs become STD/ADV level only. There will still be stomps, but they'll be less hardcore than they are now, and more even up to a point.
I've not said people should NEVER run proto, just that it'd be easier on everybody to run them in the other two modes.
Being on either side when a protostomp is occurring is no fun. You either get wrecked or are left with the scraps that they occasionally leave behind.

Then wear bpo in pub, and how will 4man squads change anything? You can still q sync and voice in same channel. It would have 0 effect. |

The only thing I've noticed lately is that the blueberries seem to be getting dumber... which didn't seem physically possible, and yet... the amount of battles I've gotten into lately where the objective was in clear sight and easily hackable but never even got an eyelash batted at it is sad.
As for the number of proto squads, the daily missions might be to blame for that. A lot of people are likely logging in who wouldn't do so before so they can get whatever goodies are available. Plus Warlords is still fresh, so you've got players returning for that.

I feel like the addition of simple things would kick this game up to another stratosphere, and since we're here and I want to talk about it (and you did say you loved me ) I'll tell you;
#1. Shooting range to test out weapons against targets with a meter that tells you what does the most damage to what setups.
(this would be a fun PVE mode that would be simple and would allow newbies to learn and get some gumption before they join all of us on the field)
#2. A basic PVE Horde mode with their plans for 4 player squads would be awesome! Say, you complete 5/10 daily missions or 8/10 daily missions and you open up access to the Horde mode until downtime and you and your friends can load up and run the mode. 10 waves, just like Gears of War against militia, advanced, proto and officer tiers! Your choice! Each has a risk/reward system and rewards you with 50% of the isk and SP per tier level of pubs. This would encourage people to play in pubs/FW during the day to gain access to Horde mode and if it was fun, they'd grow as players and there would be WAY more to do in this game.
#3. Some sort of way to socially interact with other players besides running in the battles. Say you complete 3 of 10 daily missions, you get your rewards and you also get access to a checkers board and you can make bets on the checkers game like I bet you 250,000 isk that I can beat you in checkers and you beat me so you get that 250,000 isk...little things
