I just find it funny when people moan about sniping. Like other roles, it requires some practice, and isn't always suitable for the map. I'm no sniping expert; I snipe every now and again. I do however find it hilarious, and it is totally viable even with a 511 on a basic frame - as I do!
Biggest requirement? Mouse. A mouse makes it so much more possible. |

I have a Minamando stacked with Myofibrils for just such an occasion. 700 HP melee damage FTW.

Now. *ahem* Me knew it would be fun, snipers know it's fun, that is a reason some are snipers.
Uuuugh, I have to snipe again, DAM YOU, WHY WAS I CURSED, WHY AM I SNIPER!? WHY DAM YOU!? Is it because it's fun!!? Yes. I'm glad you had fun, but don't say "Who knew?" Makes me want to slap a ho.

Used to be more fun before Falloff and Cloak-blind. If you ran range extenders on a CalScout, you could spot someone snooping around for you well before they got into range.
Cloak up, reposition behind 'em, stalk and shank with knives. "Easy Sniper Kill" gone wrong. Got my first foreign language hatemail doing this. 
Shoot scout with yes.

I play purely with KB+M and it's the best thing. Can't use controllers, too twitchy at 10 but useless at 0. |

For sniping.
It is the best thing for sniping.
There are known emulation/hit detection errors with kbm. Although we can strafe like riverdance!
Can't tell if my Internet is that bad, or DUST is just getting more borked. : /
