Because recently,tanks aren't as efficient as going as an infantry. Tanks need more love in my opinion,well vehicles in general.
There are a lot of tankers out there that are great though just that a lot of people prefer infantry. I know I do, I suck a lot in vehicles plus I didnt invest sp into anything vehicle related
How many amarr does it take to change a light bulb? none. The minmatar do it for them

Tank on tank is pretty balanced. You just get popped by a swarm for your efforts though.

No one runs a tank, because no one runs a tank... No one wants to tank vs AV, it gets boring... Although I do enjoy using that front small blaster on the overconfident swarmers that jump around infront of you.
Honestly I'd only say tank v tank is balanced, when both tanks are the same type and with the same turret.
Missile Gunnni vs Blaster Maddi comes to mind.
Other than that, anyone who can use a large rail, knows it wipes the floor with the others. |

The average tanker doesn't even fight "fai". It's usually a Gunny with a Particle Cannon and maxed DMG mods coming from the rear while the victim is already battered by AV.
Please buff my Magsex. It doesn't hit hard enough...

Because its stomped vs stompee.
If you are stomped then you will likely run into several tanks and have no shot (good luck getting your blues to help with AV).
If you are stomping, the reds know there isn't a point in making an effort to pull out their own tanks. The ISK incentives aren't there for them to make any effort or take any risks.
