So first off, I love the idea of Skin Modules. Finally a use for my Skinweave!
On that note, CCP has already stated that simple crafting is something they would like to implement in the game - i was thinking, then, what if we combined the two?
You see all those fitted suit BPCs on the markey? the ones with special skins? The ones nobody uses because they are basic, but still look sexy as hell?
What if we were to take, like, 50 of them, mash them together into one strongbox, shake it around allitle untill it poops out a skin BPO - not a suit BPO, just a skin BPO.
This way you would see people running around in cool looking suits alot more, people may even buy the suits to get the BPOs - and lets be honest here, Id love to spam Hellmar sentinels cause they are sexy, but im risk averse so i dont use rare or expensive things.
Plus theres also something for the bittervets and PC tryhards with endless piles of money ..... Ever want a militia suit... that looks like an officer suit? |

The idea that those cosmetic suits, like Skinweaves and Firebrands and Ravens etc, are replaced by a skin slot skin module.
Both copies and originals should exist.
It is a GREAT idea. I thought that's what the SKIN concept is all about?
There might need to be a limitation on skin onto what level suit it can be fitted; no skinweaves on protos.
Ahh the inertial dampeners are back to normal! ^ ^

What i am proposing is that suits / weapons with unique appearances (I.E. Snowball launcher, Black Eagle Scout, Hellmar Sentinel) can be crafted into a SKIN BPO. This would obviously take multiples of the consumed item. |
