That is all a personal preference.
First,,,what suits do you run? What race?
If you run Amarr go scrambler route.
Anything else you can slap an AR on.
Min same thing.
Just be aware of the bonuses that apply to weaponry.
I would go AR. A lot more to choose from. |

The ascr is irrelevant. The scr is nice, but only optimal on amarr assault. The Ar is a point of contention right now, I love it, some people think its not performing well.
So...get the combat rifle. Jkjk.

Im actually a vet player, but my main is banned from the forums for right now and upon my respec i went pure gal maxed plc maxed ar. gal ass galmando gal sentinel and upon many fights against adv proto and sometimes std amarr users i recieved an ass beating of my life. so i thought lemmie hop on my alt guy for the forum and ask the rest of the players. ive been down the amarr path the main problem i had was no damage was dealt with the shots i took or i would get the jump have the person near death then die. so i switched the the ar for A. Full auto fire B. More choices and flat out only other weapon i liked but the other day i was with a pure amarr friend and he said go back to scr and use the charge shot before any battle. so I was wondering what everyone thought? |

If you utilize the charge the scr is scary, get the drop on someone and zap them for half health, then monitor your heat. The Ar is definitely more user friendly. I have a pure amarr alt and I honestly get tired of the level of attention I have to pay to every single fight.

Right on that, I then decide to use the Assault Scrambler only to find myself trying to use a charged shot haha. I will wish CCP can remove the Reflex side from the Assault Scrambler that way I can notice haha

Max them both.
You'll get sp for one in a week [few games a day to make missions].
If you have maxed cores.. skill up every light weapon to lv5.
About wha+Ńs better.
ScR only if you have Amass.
AR can be used by everyone.
