The Galassault bonus doesn't really affect it much. The suit that gives it the most useful bonuses is the commando, but it's a fairly weak suit on its own.
There aren't really any suits in particular that excel with it over others. It's very flexible in terms of what you can be fitting it on.

Gallente Commando for overall damage but the Assault is best for handling.

Except that its not, for the plasma rifle you can literally just take your finger off the trigger for a microsecond and then resume and the kick/dispersion is reset. The Scrambler has to straight up stop firing before overheat so the Amarr bonus is much more useful. |

ARs don't really have any downsides to their use. If the AR had strong drawbacks to mitigate I'm sure the bonus would mitigate them.
Mitigating weaknesses is strong. Arguably stronger than empowering strengths. Arguably, as its really on a case by case thing. To say the Galassault bonus is useless is just wrong, as it is actually a very strong bonus, although not as apparent to the user as the Am or Min ones.

I concur the gal assault bonus is deadly I've compared ar on gal assault and amar assault with exact same fittings the difference is tangible ide also like to note I've put the ar on every assault suit on dust with max skills and it performs best on its intended racial assault

Gallente commando with it's one mod has pretty much identical damage to the assault triple modded.
