No matter how innovative and cool Dust continues to be, of course you can't please every player. So this may be just me own dislike, and not worth considering:
REGARDLESS of any Lore-based issues, a lot of the dynamics of Dust play and its effects on EVE play is sensibly based around the concept that Clone Mercenaries are an entity that is FEARED. Fear of migrating and taking over autonomously is the sensible explanation for why PS3 gameplay is quarantined to Molden Heath until it's safe to open full interaction with the EVE-Online game.
Relying on contract-hiring PS3 players as the only way to grab ownership of other Capsuleers' Planetary Assets, is a sensible way to give the EVE and Dust players reason to fit comfortably together in the same game without stepping on each others toes.
Littering the post-battle map with damaged valuable ship-components and Personal Effects locked in storage containers by fleeing or killed facility personnel (and lost Decryptor Keys) is a sensible way to provide pirate loot for us mercenary players who want to be,GǪwell, mercenary.
GǪBut giving Hacked Decryptor Keys away in the Daily Mission Rewards DOESN'T seem sensible.
If the stuff in these locked cargo containers are supposed to feel like fun surprise pirate loot for the game players, then let the Hacked Keys be as unpredictable to come across as what's going to be in the containers. Make the Keys something you just FIND in your salvage at the end of match. (Of course, make them much more NUMEROUS than what we've had so far).
Apart from buying Keys with Aurum, we should not have a steady PREDICTABLE means of "getting X new Keys" by completing X missions. Where's the pirate, "I won the lottery" fun in that? Every so often, one of these boxes should contain 50 Officer-Issue Decryptor Keys (or 1 Officer-Issue Key that can open 20 boxes before deactivating).
ON THE OTHER HAND, if this is supposed to be a "reward" by being given Decryptor Keys after completing a Daily Mission---so we can open the Cargo Container---so that we can get the "Prize" that's inside the container,GǪ.. heck just give us the PRIZE as the reward for completing Daily MissionsGǪ. do away with the Keys and the Containers, they're just unnecessary disposable steps.
Don't misunderstand me, I am NOT requesting the Key and Cargo Container mechanics be removed from the game, and just give us what was going to be inside the containers. No!
I'm just suggesting that you switch from unloading Keys in Daily Missions mechanic, and just unload them ON THE BATTLEFIELD mechanics, because that's where it makes the most sense for salvage-items to be (and I think makes the most loot-fun out of finding them)
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...
