Assault G/1
2x Complex Light Damage Modifers
Complex Kinetic Catalyzer Enhaced Armor Plate 2x Enhaced Armor Repairers
Glu-5 AR ZN-28 Nova Knives
C-7 Flux Grenade Nanohive
Combines everything annoying
-Scout speed plus alpha damage -Scrambler Rifle potential without draw backs -Spray and pray at medium range (Gallente Assault skilll) -Flux
It might as well be a middle finger with a gun. It slide tackles balance in the shins and steps on its.hand with cleats afterward. I wouldn't have it any other way

Like, seriously? A Glu-5 Tac? Just use a damn Scrambler Rifle at that point. Longer range, about the same damage with the ability to charge that thing up for 3x the damage and land instant kills.
The flux grenade is about pointless because all it's good for is killing equipment when you have a Scrambler rifle in your hands.
The kinetic catalyzers are contradictory to the Enhanced Armor plate and you could arguably get the same results just by using Reactive plates with less drawback.
And Nova Knives? On an armor tanked suit? Are you high? You figure with as much as the dudes in the Barbershop complain about 'back pedaling' there'd be no way in hell a Gal Assault could use Nova Knives, let alone to the extent of being FOTM.

I run G/1 with a GLU-5 and reps often, and I can confidently say that is a lousy fit. Reactive plates, man, reactive plates. And those Nova Knives have gotta go. Even the flux 'nade feels out of place.

With the AR I get the bonus of recoil, less dispersion, higher damage to armor per shot and I don't have to worry about overheating

I'm Gallente, what do you think? Also I'm not armor tanking I'm actually rep tanking or more precisely Neo Speed Tanking if you look at my entire loadout...You've obviously never seen the high number of kills my Nova Knives cause. How do you figure you get more damage to armor per shot? Because of that 10% difference, even though the sheer alpha potential -more- than makes up for that? Just saying, you can't one-shot anyone with a Tactical Assault Rifle no matter how hard you try and if the only team you'll ever overheat a Scrambler is through panic shots.
And the less dispersion thing is hilarious because the Scrambler Rifle already has less dispersion than the Tac AR, which I guess you can -kinda- say has less dispersion on a Gal Assault even though there's already a skill for the AR to have less dispersion called Assault Rifle Sharpshooter. How little dispersion do you honestly need with that thing?
Flux grenades are a niche fit. You throw it at vehicles - cool. Might as well be running an AV fit unless you just want to annoy them though because you'll never -kill them- with Fluxes.
And then you have the nova knives which you're defending. Good luck with that, given your high profile (lack of dampeners) and low mobility. If you say it works, who am I to judge? But it probably won't work on someone with half a brain.

The AR isn't as bad against Armor as the Scrambler Rifle and that's a fact. Add on those two Complex Light Damage Modifers and you have a disaster on your hands.
I may not be abld to charge my shot but I can panic spray while remaining accurate and not overheating. Given that I tend to go past the cap on RPM I use my trigger finger liberally.
The Nova Knives don't have to be used as a stealth only weapon. That's just what people do. Though by combining speed and armor I don't have to worry about using stealth in close range. I just dodge and weave until I'm close to my target and slice them.

The charge shot only works on low HP targets. You need at least a viziam with triple damge mods to one shot anything over a basic minass. The Tac AR on the other hand kills everything equally from ck0 scouts to ak0 heavies. The scrambler is the best niche weapon out there undoubtably, but the Tac is more well rounded.

I use both, and the Tac AR is good for closer range engagements. Doesn't have nearly the damage potential of the Scrambler, nor the range. And I can 100% undoubtedly assure you that the Charge shot works on a lot more than "low HP targets" because most targets will disengage if their health is too low anyway.
You get more rounds in the magazine, you get longer range, and you get the ability to charge shot which, I'm sorry Deadly but simple math will tell you that you're wrong about the armor damage thing.
A Proto Scrambler Rifle does 71.5 damage per shot. A Proto Tac AR does 73 damage per shot. A -CHARGED- shot from that same scrambler does 171.6 damage to armor while a shot from the same Tac AR does 65.7 to armor per shot.
Want to look at it without the charge damage? Fine by me.
SCR: 57.2 TAR: 65.7
A grand total of 8.5 damage per shot more that you'll probably lose to damage falloff due to range anyway. This isn't even accounting for the fact that the Scrambler, being naturally aligned to Shield Damage, gets more of a bonus from the Proficiency skill. Both weapons get increased damage to shields, so it's arguable that the SCR is doing -more- damage because of the flat bonus given by the skill.
Unless you -KNOW- you're going to be fighting in the TAR's optimal, use the Scrambler rifle. It's not that big of a difference.

But they are good for guerrilla warfare and distracting the enemy.

Lol Aeon. The Tac is better, and you are VASTLY overestimating the usefulness of the charged shot. The longer sustained fire of the Tac is much superior as it allows the user to kill high HP targets without having to stop firing and reingage.
He probably can't even fit an ScR without downgrading a slot or two.
