Posted this in another thread but its important enough for its own.
Militia Large railguns (not sure if it affects other tiers) are currently glitched and can only fire 3 shots without overheating - 4th shot overheats. CCP Ratman stated this should be 7 shots to overheat (Im assuming he meant 6 shots without overheating and 7th shots overheats?) Regardless there is no 5th 6th or 7th shot.
Needless to say this is pretty game breaking for low tier tanks as they cant kill a proto tank in 4 shots, and has led to the complete death of entry level tanking, atleast as far as rails are concerned.
Please have a look at them, as currently they are incapable of destroying adv / pro tanks even in some cases when i get the jump on them. |

Militia grade items have drawbacks compared to the original, this is probably intended, as an example the militia HMG has less ammo capacity, clip size, and over heats faster.
I suggest you save up and go for basic rather then the militia if you would like an upgrade in performance.

This is exactly what im talking about.
I realize that militia items have drawbacks, but this affects all tiers not just militia, going to standard would only free up a bit of PG / CPU. |

This appears to be by design.
Rattati got it wrong in his own spreadsheet in the first iteration but fixed it after I notified him of the issue here. So he is most definitely aware of it. His latest proposal has large railguns overheat after 5 shots instead of 4. So there's that to look forward to.
(I just realized that this proposal is really bad for dropships. 8.5k damage before overheat. ) |

Railguns have been 4 shots to overheat for quite some time.

Large Rails have been broken since day 1, i have fired 3 shots into a lav sitting still and it took no damage at 20m. sometimes it starts going crazy and rapid fires with out me pressing the fire button, the small rail has this problem to.
