The faction BPO's look cool and all, but please someone tell me why they cost 4k more than the Sever, Raven, or Valor dropsuits?
Do they grant a 15% bonus to LP earned for your chosen faction? No.
Do they come with a BPO weapon? Nope.
Was the price raised for the sake of raising the price? Maybe? Possible high demand?
Standard BPO dropsuits are already overpriced as is, so why would I pay even more for a shiny new paint job?

I don't know, seems more like spending money for the sake of spending money. I see know value in a different paint scheme.
I guess my 25k Aurum will keep sitting there. Lord knows I'm done putting any Aur into the warbarge.

That's my biggest issue with it I guess. I see no discernible difference between the other M-1 BPO's and the Brutor. It's just different camo at the end of the day. The other racial suits look much better. 4k Aurum better? Meh.

You do understand that when they say faction.....that faction is not necessarily

Yep. I understand completely.
I just saw this as a chance to give incentive to play FW more. Wear this factions armor while fighting on their behalf, and gain more Loyalty Points. Could also be worn in Pubs and gain a small amount of LP from doing so. That would tread into p2w, but not if the suits were also available for ISK and LP.
Instead it's a fresh coat of paint and a 20% mark up.

You want to know why I'd buy it? It's the closest I'll be able to get to looking unique or different than other people.
It's been 3 god d*mm years and I still can't customize my suit to make me look or feel unique.
I'll gladly throw down an extra 4k for a paint job that looks cool.

Thats why I adore my Templar gear cause it's one of the few truly rare suits in the game

Maybe, but that's not a good answer. It also seems to be the only answer that anyone has come up with. Being willing to pay a certain amount, doesn't make it worth it, imo.
Apartment prices keep skyrocketing where I live simply because people are willing to pay it. It's unhealthy.

Already did move, but it's a city wide problem. Even living in the hood is becoming laughably expensive.
I just still have not heard one good reason for the 20% markup on the new dropsuits yet. You are getting the exact same value as other cheaper BPO's, yet paying a premium for it for reasons I have yet to see.

"Shut up and take my money!" Has been the only reason I have seen so far. Value is subjective. The new dropsuits' color schemes appeal more to people. I like the 'Quafe' dropsuits, but I really liked the Tash-Murkon sentinel. That color swap was worth the extra money to me.
Functionally, yes, the BPOs are identical, but cosmetically they are different and that can increase value.

I already have good suits, and I can efficiently make the money to use them with my steady 1.00 kill/death ratio. I'm gonna buy that Roden scout just because its cool looking. I was going to do the same with the Sever and Valor suits too.
I know its how CCP makes money but gosh darnit they are just sooooo pretty. I could die happy in a Roden Scout suit...
Thus is the never-ending cycle us consumers are addicted to.
