Scouts are supposed to be the sneaky little ***** that gank people and logi's are supposed to be the support class helping out the team.
So why is it that scouts get both scans and damps when the logi suit (all races) would do better with scans and let the little scouts have their damps and cloaks. The logi is slow, squishy, and has very low combat survivability. It's literally the only class that can make scans work properly without them becoming over powered. One race already has mastery of the active scanner, just let the other logi suits pick up the passive ones. Forget all this bonus to racial equipment, we're never going to have full parity on them anyway so there's really no point.
A logi's racial bonus sucks and the scout has bonuses to spare. Cloak bonus, scans, damps, range, regen, small hitbox, crazy high CPU/PG, 2 equipment slots, movement speed, strafe speed, the list just goes on and on. Give the scout a flat bonus over all teirs to fitting a cloak, let them keep their low base db ratings, then give each of them a sidearm bonus. May as well, the commando and assault both have a weapon bonus (as does the miniscout), might as well give the other scouts one too. Maybe even a side bonus like the miniscout has, up to you for ideas.
Basically, when are we going to look at ewar in the right light? Do you give wallhax to the smallest, fastest, most regen intensive suit in the game? Or to the slow support class who will actually use the info on his/her tacnet to spot for the squad since it's not going to be able to sprint around behind the enemy with a 20db and shotty them all before they know he/she's there?

Have you been living under a rock for the past few weeks? Ewar sucks at this point, even for scouts. The ranges on the modules were nerfed into oblivion, so now only the Gallente and Caldari scouts can make more than a few meters of scan range out of it and half the time it doesn't even work.
Scanners are in, those wallhacks everyone complains about are pretty much dead. You want them yourself? They're already available, just slap on a pair of modules and you'll get them to the same effect that the scouts without modules do... or... were you hoping to not have to sacrifice a thing for that ability to see nearby enemies?
The Caldari and Amarr racial bonuses are kind of crap though. And sidearm bonuses for Scouts? Yes please. A) I'm not a logi. Well, not typically. I might pull my old Sever logi out on rare occasion, but in large part this does not affect me. I run assault/commando/part-time-scout.
B) A sidearm bonus for scouts would replace their scanning bonuses, just keep that in mind. You would be left with a cloak fitting bonus, a sidearm bonus and your native damp bonus.
C) I do not feel it should have gone away, it was merely on the wrong suit and was perhaps a tad too much. I'm aware of how scouts current scans work, this is not a post with a beef about current scouts. This is a post saying that some of the scout bonuses belong on another suit, that is all.
D) I find it funny you think it fine that scouts get the ability to see through walls without modules but on a logi suit you hedge it as if it were broken (sorry, had to, my name and all)
