Honestly I almost broke my controller on this game more than other videogames I have ever played before
I try to take a step back and plan out a better plan to stay alive even longer than last game.. boom I got a 10 death streak by the end of the game
Ik most of the rage can be blamed on me since I sometimes reach a point in the match where I had enough and hit the the power button faster than tying shoe laces

Sounds like you should go play the dark souls games, they will condition you to the pain of dieing. Also when you rage out I doubt it helps you make wise decisions. Also run with a squad if you don't it helps with survivability.

It's good to take a breather from DUST every so often, it's like a very dysfunctional relationship with a crazy girlfriend you can't stop loving even when she takes most of your clothes out into the yard and sets them on fire because she had a few too many tequila shots while she was home, and you weren't answering your phone because a meeting with your district manager went two hours longer than you told her to expect.

A Merc I used to play with claimed Dust was the only game that made his controller creak. He would get so mad the controller was twisted in agony. Both his and its.
As stated, Dark Souls but first(!) Demon's Souls to get you in the mood.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

I never raged at any Souls game, aside from the occasional ****lord in PVP. I rage at Dust pretty regularly. Hmmm...

Protip: Stop playing for a while. I spent a good year playing this bollocks every day, being good at things does not come naturally to me, so I had to tryhard a lot. Coming back after a few months and dying several times no longer rages me the **** out, I lost 2 mil in a match? Eh, I'll get it back later.
Also, pretend the blue dots are NPCs and aren't going to help you whatsoever, they're ******* idiots. |

I know exactly how you feel! But DUST is too addicting to me. Only reason why I been away is because real life stuff getting between me and New Eden. Also because of the Doom and Gloom talk about DUST's future has demotivated me picking up the controller for the PS3 collectively. In my opinion DUST is the most intense PVP FPS gaming as of late. RARELY I ever get pissed to the point of throwing or wanting to throw my controller in anger. CCP accomplished that. One has to be EXTREMELY good to make it up the kill roster recognizably, much respect to those that can.
I eat drahp uplink, me thinks this isn't a cookie. ~

This is probably the only reason I like dust.
It feels so much like the torture you can easily go through in darksouls if you're not careful

The issue here is, when you get a team that's off doing all kinds of pointless crap (not helped by the daily missions) there's no point going for the main objective by yourself (unless the other team is the same.)
Trying to predict how well a team will perform before really throwing any of your isk at the match is the best way to go, which is unfortunate as that leads to a lot of boring matches where you just can't go near half the map because you'll be on your own against a squad or two.
If I want to avoid losing money, I start in a **** cheap Sica and take a trip around the map. After a few minutes you'll know if it's worth putting effort in or not. Basically if half the enemy team pull AV and your team still isn't getting out the red zone, it's time to retreat.
But I have no patients. Yesterday I just wanted to finish that 15 installation mission and threw away 2 tanks, because I couldn't be bothered to wait for another match. Even though there were 6 swarmers and I had no chance living at their redline. |

Dark Souls it not a game I consider rage inducing since almost every facet of the game revolved around me learning something about how I play the game, and the game itself, and being able to use that the second time around.

Take a few steps back and remember that it's a game, and there's no reason to get emotionally invested in it, especially when there's plenty of exploitable and poorly balanced things in it.
Use some zen. This is coming from someone who was permab& from league of legends for raging, it made me take a few steps back and think about my life.

Yup, Demons' and DS there was always a reason to every death, every failure, due to me not understanding something critical or a mere failure of personal skill.
Now with even a brand new character I can beat those games just fine as if you remember your lessons then you can actually, with skill, avoid damage and death.
In dust though, several times I died with no apparent fault of my own, and cheap deaths are a bit of a letdown. Getting beaten due to the other guy having better gungame or a sense of tactics is fine, but I'm sure we can all think of instances when we've died due to BS circumstances.

Indeed for example I understood at the start of the game how to get specific components of armour that I liked, as well as the correct rings, and weapons (Great Scythe) and have them upgraded properly before even completing one of the bells. This meant I could put together amazing Gravelord Counter Parish Ganker fits and force them to come to my world for easy Eyes of Death. After that I had more than enough souls to basically hit whichever level I felt was appropriate for what I wanted to do.
SL 15,25,40,55,85,105,125,and 250 Gravelords so I could spread the misery and perma-curse your worlds.
Can you say OHKO persistent mob with significantly better AI and a massive aggro range?
